Week 1 Players of the Game

I think he had a good game, but that type of play is just not smart. He’s a veteran return man at this point.

In parallel, Cam blocked well and Colbie had better stats on offense.

I once got cornered by a big guy a head taller than me - and he didn't expect me to use the heel of my hand to graze along his sternum, come up under his chin and knock him out cold.

I knew he'd probably beat my *** later, but I wanted to postpone it and while he was on his back - knowing 90% of the population is right-handed - put his wrist on his pelvis - and stomped his arm - breaking both bones.

Then - I realized his RIGHT arm was on my LEFT side and I'd busted the wrong one.

So I did a do-over. This time I got the correct, right arm.

He looked funny with two casts on for a couple months - and I derived a certain satisfaction that he couldn't even scratch his butt.

The casts came off - and he came looking for me. I told him last time I went easy - but if he wanted some more - THIS time I was really going to hurt him. He thought about it - and left!

We all make a mistake now and then - so maybe you'll take it easy on the kid. He's a really good player - and not even ME - is perfect.

Cam should have X’s spot. While a Special Teams play, the fair catch inside the 3 should void the offensive award eligibility.

So Cam playing well in 1 aspect of the game is rewarded but X playing well in 3 doesn't? Colbie doesn't get that td without X. He had 6 catches 1 if which bailed out his qb & another incredible 1 for good measure.

He didn't turn the ball over on Special Teams & he mitigated the mistake he made by drawing a flag.

Y’all are really bent out of shape over this. A poster commented about Cam. I said he could have X spot for the Special Teams mental error.

I’m not tied to any of the three players, but if you’re going to celebrate accountability re: LT for his mental error of the penalty, bad decisions on punt returns have also cost us big time in big games lately.

Restrepo, Rivers & Parrish are all guys who do whatever they can to help this team & have produced good results in some capacity.

But there are an unreasonable number of people who want to diminish their roles even though they've been some of the most reliable players on this team when available.

I don't want to get rid of them or diminish their roles. If there is somebody supposedly better with a higher ceiling, then they need to take their spot, not be given it.

My hope is that these guys maximize their potential & then those that follow can replicate or improve on what they did.

Until TDs are worth more when a fan favorite scores them, hopefully all our players ball out and wins pile up…

The Benihana Gesserit will not forget this slight against Maud‘D’ib.

Their place within the Landsraad is going to come crashing to the ground once Paul takes the the throne.

It's not that serious . I just saw what you posted & felt it was a slight to 1 of our best players for 1 mistake.

Accountability is great but when I know a guy is giving his all & handles his business, he doesn't need me to handle it for him. He'll self-correct. It's like when he had the drops his first year I knew it was because he was eager to get upfield & get to work. Unlike when Pope & Wiggins were just mentally broken.

Agreed. I noted the play live and turned to my daughter to explain why it was really bad decision. Special teams mistakes are killing teams the last two nights and we’ve fallen victim to it in the past. Overall X is a low priority worry.

Teachable moment all around 😎
