Week 1: Miami (OH) - 7pm Friday 09/01

would like to finally start beating this caliber team again in a steady pulling away fashion.

Maybe like 21-10 at half as we have two new coordinators and then end up winning 42-17 type.

But I’m going to completely prepare emotionally for 27-24 FG late to win.

Agreed. There is early season rust and working out the kinks and then there is what we’ve seen against teams like So Miss that turn into warning signs and red flags…

More Hurricane Warning Flags, less upset alerts

Lots of drinking on the back porch Friday night for this game.

Brett Gabbert will look like a Heisman finalist.

/**** you! It’s been happening here for 15yrs now. Show me otherwise.

Their offense last year made Miami's 2022 offense look good. They should be better with Gabbert back at QB but they went 1-3 in games he started last year.

Their defense put up good numbers but they played one team that finished in the top half of the nation in scoring offense and that team lit them up for 38 points and 478 yards. They played two P5 teams. Kentucky (112th scoring offense) scored 37 points against them. They did hold Northwestern (128th scoring offense) to 14 points. Which was more than they averaged during the rest of the season.

Honestly if this game is close for more than a quarter. It's a bad sign. This should be something like 38-10 or more.

In 2022, if you throw out Bethune, we were...
wait for it...
1-10 AGAINST THE SPREAD
THAT, is difficult to do.

Tempering enthusiasm, I'll go with a Cane's win right at the number.
34-16 sounds about right.

I’d go under here without seeing the line. Mario will play it safe and I think the defense will be stout

They were 6-6 ATS in 2021 so the previous season's ATS numbers mean nothing. Especially considering there's 41 new players on the roster and 7 different coaches.
