### UM coaches thought Michael Wyche would be a major factor for them at defensive tackle this season. Conditioning issues prevented that early in the season, but “he’s starting to have an impact on the defense,” Al Golden said. "He’s done a good job keeping his weight down.”

Having Wyche in the rotation is “keeping us fresher and healthier.”

### Against FSU’s high-powered passing attack, Golden says it will help that Miami has five experienced, skilled corners: Ladarius Gunter, Artie Burns, Corn Elder, Tracy Howard and Antonio Crawford.

“We only have six [corners] in the program,” Golden said. “The number is low but the experience is high.”

### Though FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said UM is better than the team that lost in Tallahassee last November after entering 7-0, Golden declined to give an opinion on the topic.

Not tryna knock Golden but it literally hurts him to try to say if a player is better than the other or something... It was a compliment to his current team but he takes it as knocking past team... Participation trophy mindset, lulz... Its ok Golden

We have a better D line, our D backs are better, our O lIne is better, our QB is better and our RBs are better other than that it is the same team.

Opposing coaches praise opponents before a game all the time. It's mostly meaningless, but helps to manage expectations for their own team. OTOH, you don't get trapped into praising your own team before a game. Asking Golden's opinion on the topic was a little verbal trap. Al didn't go for the banana in the tail pie. That's all it was.

I say our scheme is better as well. We essentially have the same team, minus a few guys. But last game, we were still in the bend but dont break mindset. I think we are going to see more of the same from the last 3 games, aggressive and attacking.

Not only do we only have 6, I don't know how many we have committed. And this is in South Florida. Smh. When people point these things out people get upset. There is no way in **** this should happen, and 3 of them are upperclassman. Smh

There are only 6 because Ryan Mayes was moved to safety after Kiy Hester decided to take his ball and go home. We also took a large hit in scholarship reductions this season. Expect to see at least 3 CB's added in this class.

Didn't we also have 2 guys leave the program this summer? Hope and someone else?

That's a fabrication about taking a large hit in scholarship reductions. We counted 7 against the 9, and pretty much all 7 were from attrition. We've been signing full classes the whole time and losing an inordinate amount via attrition.

That feeble slap on the wrist from the ncaa will have zero impact on the amount of guys we sign because we can count guys who leave on their own or get kicked out against the 9 total, and no one ever carries a full 85 all year.

Classic Folden trying to keep the expectations down. What a loser.

He's whining about only having 6 CBs, yet we have a great rotation there that rivals anyone in the country.

Then, he can't even admit this team is better than last year because he doesn't want more heat in case he talks up the improvement and then loses.

Classic Failed Franchise trying to make up agendas for Golden when all Golden did was typical coach speak like every single other coach in the nation does. He can't even admit that not everything Golden says has to be turned into some negative, mopey, bull****.

Ah, it's the board idiot coming to back up his man crush, Franchise. I know it takes something you sorely lack, intelligence and perspective, but even if a coach is not very good, pretending that every word he says makes hims a "loser", especially when it's exactly the same thing all coaches say, is really, really stupid. But by all means, that's exactly what you are so continue being you.
