WEDNESDAY COLLEGE FOOTBALL

The starting QB for Central Michigan is none other than Carol City's & BTW's own Daniel Richardson lol.

He played for Coach Hyppolite in HS, kid is the all-time leader in Dade history in passing yards & passing TD's.

Crazy how he's already developed into a starter as a Red Frosh.

Daniel Richardson was definitely a great passing South Florida QB. Saw him play several times at Traz. He definitely knew how to light it up. I think the Canes (Jon Richt, I think) never recruited him because of his size. But Richardson put up some great numbers.

@DMoney Daniel Richardson is balling for CMU right now lol.

His development is impressive. He was always a good passer but he turned it over a ton. Now he’s under control and looks great.

South Florida QBs seem to develop fast in college because they are finally getting high-level elite coaching and training.

I heard that Richardson also worked out with some pretty good QB coaches from South Florida. I think it was Jeff Godfrey, who played QB at Miami Central then UCF. Godfrey was working out with a lot of So Florida QBs during the offseason.

Richardson was an excellent QB. He will be very productive at CMU. He is ready to produce at a high level in the MAC. If he continues to develop, he can lead CMU to a MAC championship.

Did we recruit this speciman? Just curious.

My wife is a Toledo fan, so yes were watching, not just Toledo but the others as well.
Even without the Toledo slant, I still enjoy watching these games. When you don't have a true interest in the outcome, you can enjoy the game without any angst (i.e. missed tackles, penalties, turnovers, etc).

As a Kent State grad and former athletic trainer their I love me some Maction. I'm curious LCE why you think Crum is a possible transfer guy. I live 20 minutes from his home town and just don't see him as a viable option.

I've never said he was a possible transfer guy...

I just love his arm talent & think he's a very good underrated QB.

I don’t believe the Canes recruited Richardson. I think Jon Richt was responsible for recruiting QBs, and I don’t think he recruited QBs under 6’ tall. I think he wanted pro style QBs. IMHO, JR didn’t have the best recruiting strategy or eye for QBs. My opinion is based on seeing JR in action at a couple of UM camps. Nice guy, but not the best QB coach I have seen.

Not sure if Lashlee would recruit Richardson either. IMHO, Richardson is a great passer, but not a great athlete on the level of D’Eriq King or even Teddy Bridgewater. But Richardson is an elite passer, who worked at his craft and studied under some of the best offensive coaches and trainers in south Florida high school football
