I’ll play (although I believe it starts from the top) If we could convert a third down, and our defense could stop a fourth down. That would help.

I sense that within this program everyone is too **** relaxed and there is no sense of urgency. I also believe that most people inside and around this football program are unintelligent and just solely focused on pageantry and folly. Now the answer to this isn’t some hard nosed fake tough, know it all, fraud, narcissistic, stubborn coach type. Seriousness comes with intelligence. It’s not a facial expression or words during an interview. The players know it when they see it. Seriousness is we DIE if we lose today. That’s the culture in Columbus, Ohio surrounding that program from the BOT to the water bottle girls.

The players are not serious. Players quit when the things they are being told to do, do not work, over and over again. “This ish can’t be serious” because it’s not.

In pulling from our past and focusing on our dominant history in an unintelligent and silly way, we’ve created a culture where our recruits feel like they’ve won or are successful based on the past and just being a Cane, instead of actually going out and performing to that standard of excellence.

I could keep going but I’ll stop here.

This ish is beyond sad.

Wait, are you sure you want to climb out on that limb? We could still find a way to ***** up. Maybe there is a form the AD has o file on time or something. I seem to remember something about losing baseball regional games we use to host every year because school was late sending check. Never underestimate a place that can hire some many horrible coaches in a row.
 
I'll post the same thing I mentioned after the Florida game: If a team has 2 losses in late November then that team is ranked 7th through 10th, on average. If they have 1 loss then the team is ranked within the top 5 or 6.

That is the burden. That is what posters were implying when they were saying Miami would run the table after Florida, or lose only 1 more game. Somehow they thought our program was suddenly 5th to let's say 12th in the nation.

Strength of schedule is an obsession of idiots. You can basically dismiss anyone who makes it an ongoing theme. The talent variances among major conferences are minor. The teams are familiar with your personnel and your tendencies. The situational fluxuation from week to week more than makes up for any minor talent gap.

You only overwhelm the situational stuff and normal distribution realities if your talent level is supreme. Ultra supreme. Not a handful of NFL late round picks. It needs to be a flood of first round picks. Now you are at separation level...like favored by 17+ points every week within the conference, with maybe 1 game inside that number.

Ohio State hosted Michigan State last week and was -20. Michigan State's power rating is 6 points above Virginia. Let them be a gulp reality toward the manpower deficit the Canes now face, in comparison to the handful of truly elite programs.

Never allow the moderators and administrators here to insist we should have no trouble waltzing through the ACC Coastal. Those posters are insulting your intelligence. I realize it has been a popular theme but all it does is contribute to the annual false expectations, and whining about coaches.

I feel like I'm in a reality void everywhere I post. I come here and posters expect the Canes to dominate. I go to liberal sites and posters are convinced Donald Trump is going to resign.

Miller and Nesta need FAR more playing time. Those two together just looked to be on a different level. Same with GR15.
 
If we score more points than the other teams.

And for the stat guys that does not mean total points vs all the teams...it means more points in each game.
