There are fans and posters clamoring that we will totally win the rest of our games because “they ain’t Bama.” We have some ****** matchups coming up tbh. Can someone come and present evidence and facts, based on yesterday and the previous 5 years, that leads you to believe we are going to win more than 8 games this year?

One Miami team has won 10 games in the past 15 years. This is not a better than average Miami team we've got on our hands. This is a typical 8-4/7-5 ball club. Outside chance we go the fakest 9-3 you've ever seen, just like last year.

I never expected us to beat Bama, so I never even factored in that game when looking at this season...

To me it comes down to Coaching, our schedule isn’t unmanageable for the rest of the year, but when you have a Coach that doesn’t know how to lead, every week becomes a tightrope walk.

We should beat App St, Mich St & UVA with ease, but with Manny it’s a total crapshoot, we don’t know what type of team will show up for those games & one thing about Many’s tenure thus far is that he loses winnable games early on because his teams are consistently inconsistent & frequently unprepared/unmotivated.

So short answer, no, cannot guarantee a 10 win season, from a talent standpoint we could easily manage a 10 win season, but from a Coaching standpoint the only thing that can be guaranteed is a roller coaster ride where it’s completely uncertain if this team will come out ready to play on a weekly basis.

Therefore, expect a few losses vs teams we shouldn’t lose to & hope for a few W’s vs teams we’d ordinarily sh*t the bed against late in the season. The life of a Miami fan in a nutshell...

I’m fairly confident that we will lose at least 2-3 more games. I think there’s a reasonable chance we lose next week if we come out deflated.

I'll be honest, I don't see 10 wins either, at least not before a bowl game. Things can go either way in that case.

I gave Lashlee the benefit of the doubt last year. I wasn't sure if it was a case of his OL sucking and some limp noodle receivers basically ******** it all up or what.

Seeing what he game planned yesterday, it's him. That doesn't mean last year some of our problems wasn't the OL and the receivers.

He is the problem and it won't go away. King, love him, but part of his playing ability went away with that injury. Hope he gets some confidence back on his feet, but that was a big part of his game and really the only threat we posed last year.

Hope for 10, but we aren't talented enough to win on talent alone and the coaching isn't good enough to out coach anyone.

A good (not even great, program) routinely beats teams they should. Miami hasn't for years. And from what I saw, in addition to App St and MSU, I think Vatech and NCST are improved this season. Sooooooo....

Do you see any adjustments that will realistically happen? That’s why I’m not confident. We can be better with better personnel deployment and some schematic adjustments. It has yet to materialize that they are willing to make those changes. And to your point, we are so inconsistent and soft. A team led by a front runner

There is exactly zero data available that would lead a reasonable person to believe that Manny is going to run any table in any league. He may win 10 games, but it’s certainly not a given.

If Lashlee calls plays like he did last night, we’re not winning more than 8 games. Our WR’s looked good against Bama when they actually ran routes further than 7 yards; unleash the playbook and get the ball to our skill players.

This is the right answer....the only answer.

Even if we had more talent...this is the answer.

Offensively yes, on Defense probably not.

I believe we'll know exactly what this team is capable of by the end of week 3. App State and Michigan State will provide two perfect benchmark games for everyone to evaluate the team (and coaching staff).

In short, @jmccomber5 , let us get back to you around 4:00PM EDT on Sept. 18th. I/we will know with a fair amount of certainty what our season record will look like at that point.
