WE WANT BUTCH DAVIS.....

James, DiMare and Miller.....Let's get back to the top. Butch bringing in a few more pieces of jewelry in that case of yours, DiMare. Let's get it!!

YES! No To Gimmick Football!

You're the type of guy that is still calling Urban Meyer's offense a gimmick after three national championships. lol Football has changed dude. NFL teams are all running some type of spread

The read option in the nfl is on its last breath about to be taken off the ventilator.
College will follow suit.
Butch has the aptitude to master containig the read option if not shutting it down all together.

Everything evolves. The spread has taken over the college game and will devolve and the pro style and others will rise again and then fall. It's all part of life.

For the record Hermans offense is the power spread which combines smash mouth football with spread principles.

Which is why every where he has been his QB's have broken school records and competed nationally while his runningbacks have also put up great numbers. What more could you want in an offense?

It's funny that Miami was born being innovative bringing prostyle offense to college but now any new innovative offenses are met by rabid fans wanting the iformation

This program has no heart. The soul is dead. It has not been the same since Butch left. Interesting isn't it? Although I'm one of Davis' biggest critics, I believe Butch can resurrect Hurricane football, again. It's going to take time because we are talking about Butch. That said, I will tell the world something no one outside of Canes nation wants to hear. Under Butch, the Canes will be physical and mentally tough. They will be fast and explosive on both sides of the ball. They won't be dominated at the line of scrimmage. You know what you're getting with Davis coached team. The foundation will be rock solid. He will build a championship caliber squad. And, if Butch is down for bringing Wario back into the family, I'm cool with it. I think Butch has a big enough stick to keep Wario in check. The only thing I would suggest is to bring some freaking juice on the defensive side of the ball. Place it in the hands of a killer, especially if fancy boy is coming as OC. Lock and load...BBB

The Bold. This is what Butch brings. He just has the eye for savages.

Butch Hiring day is 12 away!

Watched the Miami HC Bowl. IMHO, Herman > Fuente. We're getting neither. Herman to VT, Fuente to MD.

Flubberneck to the Mizzou Leper Colony, because he already looks like one.

30+ 1st rd NFL draft picks in 10 years = 1 10+ win season and 15-17 in ACC games.

It has been almost 15 years since Butch Davis won a significant game. OP was still breast feeding back then.

lol... haven't heard the "fancy boy" reference in quite a while. You must be an old school fan.

No, you might, but I most certainly don't.

Heck, I'd rather have the current UNC coach rather than their old one. He's already got more wins than the golden calf ever had with far less NFL talent on the roster.

We could do worse than Butch, but far better as well. If he's our coach, I hope he's figured out how to do more with whatever talent he's got on the roster than he ever showed at UNC.

I was 21 years old in 2001, I SAW what Butch built; many times first hand. Nice try potato.

Excellent post my friend. You just perfectly articulated why I want him back. Very well said.

Korn Ferry is an executive search firm. They might be the firm that Flake uses personally, or is used by members of the BOT in their businesses. They don't appear on this list of sports agencies:

Agencies By Alphabetical Order | Sports Agent Blog

So, is the BOT serious, or is it amateur hour? Korn isn't even a sports agency; I believe they'll simply compile a list of names. You know them already. Then the secret AD, you know him too, will make the pick.

Bottom line? Shhh...

Butch Hiring Day is 10 away.

Then u don't watch football. Fedora is Goldenesq. He's smoking a bottom third strength of schedule that features no ranked teams, 2 FCS opponents, and a combined winning pct of 47%. He did nothing prior to this soft schedule. What don't u guys get about that? This has been the easiest schedule that UNC has had in a while, and Fedora is taking advantage of it.

Everyone on this board was screaming how much Fedora was a corch. He wins some games against a jv schedule and fools want him at Miami and say he's better than Butch. LMAO.

Butch Davis: 0-4 vs Tom O'Brien at UNC

15-17 career ACC record, never won more than 4 ACC games in a season

Randy Shannon, Al Golden, and Larry Fedora all won at least 5 ACC games in season at least 2x.

You just went full potato.

You just compared the 2 worst coaches in the history of our school and a reject that had had a cupcake schedule to the man who built the greatest roster in the history of college football.

Not to mention that he won multiple titles in college and the NFL as a D-coordinator. And recruited all of the great Jimmy Johnson classes, too.

The Butch Davis hatred is unbelievable.

Dude was robbed of a title shot in 2000. It is very likely that we would have curb stomped Oklahoma that season.

In 2001, we won the title without a head coach. The team coached itself to a title. They would have won it all with Butch there, too.

In 2002, we were robbed. That would have been 3 in a row if he had stayed.

How can you compare Folden to Butch. Unbelievable!

What he did at UNC with what he inherited is amazing. He had almost the whole starting defense missing because of suspensions his last season, and they were still better than anything Folden and Doritos ever trotted out on the field.
