This is a common phrase but I think its a little unfair even though Manny should be on the Hot Seat and fighting for his job. If players only respect coaches who have done something career wise then there are only three places to go and thats Bama, OSU or Clemson. Every other coach hasnt won a national title or even come close. If there is a player in that locker room thats has the "Why should I respect a coach who hasnt won anything" attitude than they can walk. Thats going too far. Manny can earn respect by not allowing them to think barely beating App State is doing something. Thats a good start.

It's about sending a message and not placing blame. The entire team and staff need to be kicked in the nuts. Our OL were getting shoved aside by Son Belt quality DL. Our DEs were thwarted by Son Belt OTs. Our WRs couldn't get open against Son Belt DBs. Our DBs couldn't cover the same play again and again in the endzone. Our STs couldn't lay a hand on a Son Belt kick returner or keep FGs from being blocked.

At some point, the players need to hold themselves accountable if the coaching staff won't do it. Fair? Probably not since they're young and need guidance. But it's a veteran team who shouldn't need motivation enough to focus and make easy catches or avoid costly penalties. ***** the staff in their stupid asses but somebody needs to toughen these kids up and some tough love is in order instead of constant coddling.
 
I can already see our future , playing in the potato bowl against fiu and players who are projected to be drafted in the 6th and 7th round sitting out the game 😂😂

Yes, I'm all for accountability, but some of the vitriol is beyond the pale.
