We should not let up vs any team

So when we are up by 3 less than 3 minutes and the opponent has no timeouts, you’re saying we shouldn’t kneel the ball? Got it
 
If they want to build experienced depth the right way, they need to change philosophy and come out fast to get a big lead as soon as possible against lesser teams. They need to make those games longer, so they can get the backups in as soon as possible. I'm OK punishing a team like ND first, to wear them down. The backups won't see much time there anyway.

This is what ****ed me off last year. We should’ve blown both of them out, instead, we let them hang around and for what?!!
 
I’m on team style points matter. At some point it becomes a beauty contest unless we’re 13-0 entering the playoffs.

That doesn’t mean we need 100+ plays. But also means we can’t default running the play clock down to 2 if we’re up 14 in the 2nd quarter and start playing in a phone booth.

We got to the playoffs because we adjusted after losing 2 games. we had success in the playoffs because we could run the ball. My confirmation bias or at the very least a defense needing to respect a more open offense led to our success running the ball in the playoffs.
 
I can’t take this stuff seriously.

We have a good shot at playing 16 maybe 17 games this season. You have to manage the roster and not use all of your bullets in October. This isn’t a video game…guys get hurt and their bodies break down.

Plus, if we’re up 30-3 in the fourth quarter against wake forest and an important player gets hurt, you folk will be the first online *****ing about Mario keeping guys in there when the games already decided
