I was hoping Malachi Toney would switch to LB.. After he throws a pass to himself and scores he can have the kickoff to rest before carrying the D.
A poor man's Rohan Marley.

#10 the next punter, he'll field his own puntsI was hoping Malachi Toney would switch to LB.. After he throws a pass to himself and scores he can have the kickoff to rest before carrying the D.
Great idea. What about long snapper? We are stacked, stacked at RB. Mallory is another power back. He will get zero carries this year behind Fletcher, Marty, Pringle, Lyle and Wheatley Humphrey. Instead of being RB6 I want him to compete for LB. Already 6 foot 1, over 210, good enough speed for LB, physical. He is a certainty to redshirt as a Back. He can get burn at LB.
Did he play linebacker in high school, and if so, at a high level?Fair enough. Just in the new landscape of CFB, having a guy we are paying redshirt seems like a waste. I have seen a lot of people mock the idea. Nobody has given any explanation for why it is such a laughable suggestion.
Nothing against running backs and I know it's more complex than this, but the core of what they do is see hole, run at hole and stop bad man from hitting QB. A linebacker has to read the offense and can have assignments based on the play. They can be blitzing, spying the QB, backing up the D line or stopping a receiver. It takes a different kind of football IQ than a change from WR to CB, which is more like 2 sides of the same coin.Fair enough. I cant see anything about other positions in HS. I just think it makes more sense to get return for our money rather than waste it on the bench while he redshirts. I dont see him playing at RB unless 3 guys go down.Did he play linebacker in high school, and if so, at a high level?
DJ Williams i believe was a two way player - like he was the top defensive player in the country plus he played running back.
He is a true RB, he’ll be in mix for sure next yearWe are stacked, stacked at RB. Mallory is another power back. I hope he is not. I want Fletcher, Marty and Pringle toting the rock.He is a true RB, he’ll be in mix for sure next year
