Obviously I know we’re all hurting, but let’s take a moment and recognize what an amazing season this was. We lost to a great football team with a chance to win at the end. Not everything went our way. I know it may sound like typical coach speak, but Indiana lives up to some of that generic coach speak. They played disciplined, fundamentally sound football. I’m not mad at them. Losing sucks and it hurts but it doesn’t take away the great moments we had as fans this season. Beating Notre Dame, Florida, FSU, and Ohio State handily were the greatest highlights, I never say dumb **** like “The U is back”, but we’re practically there as long as we can sustain what we’ve been building. Keep our heads up fam. The future is bright here❤️❤️

Sorry, this "IU was great" narrative is pure cope and BS. What I saw tonight was a well coached team that didn't beat themselves, period. Miami with COMPETENT SPECIAL TEAMS play wins this game, even with the other self inflicted wounds. That said, Miami had them in check for most of the night, we just couldn't stay out of our own way. Period. A truly great team would have waxed Miami tonight, because we spent the first half playing bargain basement offensive football.

Imagine what one of Nick Saban's or Tom Osborne's better teams would have done? Miami would have likely been down 21-0 at halftime, or worse. Miami had a chance to win a game late, despite giving the opponent 10 points on some of the worst special teams play I've ever seen.

In this era of CFB, where NIL and the transfer portal are active, the types of teams you’re describing from the past hardly exist. What team in this new era is going to have 3 future NFL QB’s like Saban’s 2017/2018 teams? None. That depth will never exist as long as backups can transfer, get paid, and potentially win more. The theme of this CFP was who was the most physically and fundamentally sound team, not the most talented. Tonight, that team was Indiana. It sucks, but I can’t take that away from them. Converting those two 4th and 5’s to go up 2 scores was really the difference maker in my opinion.

Again, they needed all of that, to barely beat a Miami team that gave them ten points. IU, with all of their advantages and their unique roster setup needed two scores worth of help to beat a Miami team that couldn't get out of their own way. Sorry, but that doesn't scream "GOAT" to me. That screams "If you don't beat yourself, you will win games you have no business winning. They did what they needed to do and are rightfully National Champions.

I'm proud of the team. I didn't think we would get to another championship game in my lifetime so I am great full for that. Obviously not the outcome we all wanted. This has been a really easy team to root for and a really enjoyable bunch of kids to watch. Regardless of the outcome tonigh I will always remember this years team as one of my favorites. Awesome kids.

I agree.
We should get trophy too.
The we played hard, lost and are the 2nd place or number one loser in the country trophy.
Beck should also get a trophy.
The I almost didn’t **** it all up trophy.

No worries though, these opportunities only come around every 25 years of so. We’ll get em in 2049.

I don’t think this IU team is some legendary juggernaut. They just played disciplined football. See any dropped passes in key situations? Nope. Missed tackles? Bad decisions from
Mendoza? Hardly. He might be the best game manager to ever win a Heisman. Best play from him all night was that TD run. Other than that? Nothing too crazy.

I’M NOT P H U C K I N G PROUD TO LOSE AT HOME…NOT LIKE WE DID…WE MAY NEVER EVER SEE ANOTHER SEASON THAT LINES UP MORE PERFECT FOR US THAN THIS ONE DID…JUST TO LOSE ON THE GAME WINNING DRIVE WITH A BULLSH!T INT OFF A PRAYER PASS INTO DOUBLE COVERAGE…NOT BUYIN’ IT 🤬

Basically, everything people had been saying all week came to pass: The more disciplined team that didn’t beat themselves would win this game. That team was Indiana. In every game there’s 3-5 plays that make the difference and we didn’t make them sadly.

Nah, I’m ******* mad, devastated, and many other things. This is Miami. “We almost had you” isn’t a trophy I recognize. God **** im sick to my stomach.

I think we got Cotten and Fiesta Bowl trophies lol.

And a bunch of money that comes with winning those games. So we didn’t get nothing!
