Each of the three playoff games before the Championship were all unbelievable experiences.
Sitting at Kyle Field with ~3, 000 Miami fans in the corner of the stadium and a few in the far end zone upper level was surreal. The way the game ended with the end zone interception was more relief than elation.... surrounded by Aggie fans behind the Miami sidelines.
The reaction from the he coaches and players is something that I will never forget....

He didn’t sneak lmao he was apart of the team and played ball. It’s not sour grapes, CFB is just different now.
Yes that's true and it's still weird. You were a few yards from a natty, were going to come back and litkely start for a team that will be in the hunt again, and you dip for a team that almost certainly will not. I'd understand if it was a significant NIL bump. Otherwise it is still just weird.

Not really a given for him to start with Mo and Smith coming back. Maybe he knows Wiley or another young guy is coming on strong and he would be in line for 3rd/4th LB snaps. Whereas he’s now at NC State? He ‘should’ be in line to start

This is one of the main reasons I am not mad about the title game (still a bit sore about it though). This is what we as Miami faithful especially those who grew up when this dynasty began, are accustomed to.

So, he's leaving to avoid competition. Let's just call it what it is.

He's a decent piece but he isn't irreplaceable especially if he's bailing to a "guaranteed" starting position. Call it sour grapes on behalf of fans who think he should have stuck around and competed, but the point remains the kid bailed hoping to avoid competition.

Figured Popo's dad would have a bit more trust in Mirabel (he played for Alex) and Cristobal regarding Popo's ever increasing role in the defense.

Not noted in my post below, my year #4 expectation was playing for the Natty.
Man, Mario got all caught up in a hurry.

Ack to the OP. Is there any good merch that shows off that we won both of those? I was trying to find something, but they are either only the cotton bowl or the fiesta bowl results. I wanted something with both. I’m in Australia too, which can be limiting.

Anyone seen anything good floating around?

I'm envious of those who made all the playoff games, but I did make the O$U game, and that was one of most memorable moments of my entire life. I felt like a kid again.

I look forward to the ride again this year.
I went to all games with my son.
Kicking the **** out of the Buckeyes was great and the Ole Miss game will go down in the annals as an all timer.

But ending the Aggie’s season and watching 100K+ of their fans silently filing out of Kyle Field was incomprehensible at the time. I was convinced we could win the entire Fkn thing.

Ready for spring
Spot the **** ball

Lmao who hurt you my guy?
If Popo was your kid and he looked good out there when he played but the other guy starting over him was granted a 36th year of eligibility, would you not want to give your child the opportunity to go and play? Enjoy his last year of eligibility and have a chance at playing on Sundays? You could stay and compete, and even if you win, you still split time.., but you could also go elsewhere where you are needed and can play every snap and get to show scouts your game full time. These kids’ futures are on the line. Take the O&G glasses off.

I was 50 yard line surrounded by the most disconcertingly friendly opposing fans imaginable.

About 100 Aggies shook our hands and congratulated us on our victory post game.
