All of this falls on Thad Foote as far as in concerned, he laid the basis of the way business is conducted today.
Lmao...duke almost had one..wait for it, in 1941.UNC has 0 titles in 131 years.
We only have one title since 92.
That’s one title in 26 years, and it could signal two things: 1. We were a flash in the pan program and 2. The program is truly dead and cannot/won’t ever return.
In order for us to hire a good coach, we have to stop hiring bad coaches & giving 4-5 years to ruin the program.UGA hasn't won one since 1980.
FSU has won 2 in the past 25 years.
Michigan has 1 championship since 1948.
Anyone saying those programs are dead? Hire a good coach, which is entirely feasible with the money allotted. Have him hire good assistants, which is MORE than feasible considering Enos is making a million dollars a year. Continue to recruit local talent. Pretty simple. Saying the program is dead or can never be good again is ludicrous.
its 1. small schools like miami will never truly compete wiht the bg time state programs with boatloads of alumni support and funds. once the game changed to big money, it ended our chances of being the old miami.

We were denied another chance in 2000.Only a handful of teams have won more than 1 title in the last 26 years (bama, FSU, uf, clemson, usc) Miami should have another in the rose bowl but we know what happened. This isn’t saying much
Does anyone remember when people said Alabama was dead? They were living in the past. No real fertile recruiting grounds had to recruit nationally? They hired Saban.

We also have 1 in the last 18 years and 2 in the last 27 years. Depends on how you look at it.

Our administration doesn't spend money at all, they're cheap ******** so we keep hiring bargain bin coaches who do nothing but set us back on the recruiting trail because they can't put a winning product on the field.
It starts with the people in charge, our Boosters don't give AF about the football program so they make it impossible to compete with the big dogs, then because the Universirty cares more about being the Harvard of Florida they put no effort whatsoever into improving the athletic department & leave all decisions up to a human sack of laundry in a guy like Blake James who's a complete ****** goober. Then he hires a bunch of sh*t Corches in a row & never holds them accountable for their failures, if it was up to that piece of garbage Al Folden would still be coaching here.
This is why people say we're dead, not because it's impossible for us to be resurrected with the correct coach, it's because the people in charge of actually hiring the right guy have displayed for over 20 ****** years now they have no capability to do so & the people who are supposed to be the financial backbone of the team do the bare minimum & leave us with no chance to truly compete.
We're not screwed because it can't be done, we're screwed because it won't be & the people with the power to change the program refuse to & see nothing wrong with the ineptitude & mediocrity that has been embedded in Miami for the last 2 decades.
Regime change at the top is our only hope... When do you see that happening?

And, a computer algorithm was allowed to keep Miami from an opportunity to play OU for the 2000 NC.Context, context my guy.
Last championship was 92. Played for another championship in 93 (lost to Bama). 94 was a weird season, losing inexplicably to Washington, and then blowing that lead against Nebraska.
THEN Sanctions hit. Fell down, and Butch brought us back up w/in 5 yrs, finally culminating to a title in 01. We got screwed in 02 (although we beat ourselves in that game too, to be honest ((4th & 13!!!)) ).
Down hill since then as we’ve hired player’s coaches/inexperienced since 2000.
That’s y we have 1 championship in 26 yrs. If we dedicated ourselves to football, and football operations, we could easily take back the NCAA just b/c our built in natural resources. But this only happens once we hire the right coach who instills discipline and accountability again.
