From Barry Jackson:

The Seminoles have 10 players from those two counties, with five in particular worth noting:

1. Defensive end Brian Burns. The former Plantation American Heritage standout has 19 tackles, five sacks and one forced fumble in five games this season. Rivals.com said UM never offered the four-star player. “Very athletic guy,” UM coach Mark Richt said.

Is this true? I could have sworn he came on and official visit here.

Doesnt matter i think Rumph was still there we werent getting him. Guy is recruitonite for Miami.

I think he's a little too "one trick pony"-ish. He is going to get pressure on passing downs but I don't think he plays the run as well

IIRC he showed zero interest in us at the time. Doesn’t matter. He would have been our fourth best DE after Jacks, Garvin and Patchan ... fifth if Rousseau were healthy.

Dude getting mocked in first rd but he would be the fifth best DE on our team? If you think he’s a lil overrated kool but you jumped out the window with that one lol

Burns is talented but way to small. He likely will run past Donaldson or St Louis 2-3 times which is why Dallas and Homer have to stay in for 2 seconds before releasing to the flats. No way in **** is he at the Joe Jackson level and I'm not sure I'd put him ahead of Garvin. Burns does nothing for long parts of games. He isn't a great run defender. One of our best opportunities is to run the ball at him for the first half to wear him down.
In the NFL he is a 3rd down guy.

Wasn't he in the transition year after firing Golden and hiring Right? I remember the old staff not going after him and Richt and co tried. We thought getting Rumph would push him our way but he was just never interested.

Spilt mik at this point. Transistion year and FSU was the hit at the time. He's quick though. I don't think he wants none of Donaldson in ththe run game. He will try his speed rush. Perry will step up in the pocket and get rid of it.

Dude had zero interest.

Don’t blame him I think he saw nothing but the golden years with that frog stance/patty cake stuff... I don’t blame anyone for not coming here during the golden years. Sorry golden ruined a lot of careers

Even though joe Jackson has been just as productive as Burns in the sack department in college I think Burns has alittle more of a skill set in terms of pass rush on the edge however I do Think joe Jackson is the better all around de as he can rush the passer and defend the run very well

We thought getting Rumph would push a lot of kids this way..........we all know how that played out

I don’t remember him being interested. I know we pushed for him. This kid is lying. The “They didn’t offer so I’m going inact my revenge and they will rue the day they didn’t show me love!” is getting played out.
