We need to get off Blake Baker’s ***

Those numbers are very good and indicative of a good defense.

But I can’t get 4th and 17, UNC receivers running wide open all over the field out of my head.

That’s the difference between “we’re an average 3-1 with a young coaching staff that hopefully improves” and “this staff may be inept.”

It may have been just one bad call. But it was an indictment on how hard his inexperience was exploited against an old head

What’s crazy is we finally win time of possession and have a punter but we still can’t match the stats the previous d put

I bet the rankings would suck if baker dealt with the kind of field position and top that last years d put up with

I don’t care what anybody says, this defense is actually very good. There are certainly some things I’d like them to do a little differently, and it’s not championship caliber like the 2018 defense, but it is a very good defense.

Total Defense #13
Yards/Play #15
Scoring Defense #17
Rushing Defense #6
Yards/Rush #5
Rushing TDs #13
Passing Defense #49
Yards/Pass Attempt #47
Passing TDs #20
Sacks/Game #29
TFLs/Game #12
Opponent 3rd Down% #4

Surprise, surprise, the area where we are struggling the most is in pass defense where we are young and trying to recover from losing 3 franchise guys to the NFL.

Side note: We also need to get off Jarren’s ***. Kid is top 25 in nearly every statistical category, including yards/attempt despite all the *****ing about the deep ball.

The difference between this team being 4-0 and 2-2 is the OL, period. Expect to see Enos use a game plan more similar to the UNC game plan going forward, which was a very well called game.

Edit: Removed S&P+ ranking as that was a 2018 stat. 2019 S&P+ isn’t available yet.

Blake Baker isn’t the issue here the problems run much deeper than that. Baker is the obvious fall guy but Manny hired him. Sure Baker probably sucks but isn’t Manny supposed to be the defensive guru? He is also wearing a headset and he could be calling the plays himself..

Miami is quite well versed in hiring a very low IQ corching staffs. Nobody would trust these jokers to make game day adjustments and none of them are Xs and Os type guys outside of perhaps(maybe) Enos. What is it with this team and dumb corches? It must be the “Miami guy” syndrome I mean there were people clamoring for Manolo to hire Shannon as DC. I know the offense was terrible against Wisky but you hire a DC who just lost 35-3 to a very average team?

Again just look at this distinguished list of guys on here. Clappy could never find another gig outside of UT San Antonio. Shannon has bombed pretty much everywhere and Folden won’t be anything other than a token TEs corch. It’s an amazing list of degenerates since Butch.

Was it the blitz that resulted in the conversion or the coverage bust? Watch the tape. If the CB and S are in proper position for the bracket coverage, Howell doesn’t make that throw and he gets sacked by the blitzing CB. It was a good call.

Umm no. Don't blitz. Play the sticks. Tackle before the line to gain.embarrassing that you're blaming the players for misguided coaching. Stop it
