We need some WR'S !!!!

I disagree but what we do need is a 1 proven senior grad transfer to lead all the young studs. We got tons of talent just not much proven but a lot of that is due to our passing game being off whack this season. We either passed for 450 yards or 100 in games it seemed LOL.

Don't sleep on Wiggins imo...I think he leaves here an NFL player. Size/speed combo...We've had all one or the other here. Besides Richards (and I'm not saying he was Richards who was a 1st round player no doubts) we haven't had many with both. Hoping Reddings's next. Loved Payton in hs, but he really doesn't have the extra gear imo...(think his floor is high though and his HS tape showed game speed if not burner speed)

Good WRs don't hit the portal often. The UCLA kid was perhaps the only one.

Osborn wasn't efficient at all last year and if that's the best we can do for 2020 we're screwed regardless. Gotta develop the guys in the room and hope for the best.

Payton needs to be a breakout star. The talent is there.

Pope can be a vertical threat. King needs those.

Harley plays hard. If he improves on the nuances he can help in a lesser role.

Beyond that it's freshmen and Wiggins who's extremely unreliable. Worsham needs to get bigger, Redding could be a rotational X receiver while he works on the broader route tree, and then Restrepo or Martell can be physical underneath slot guys.

yeah the receivers haven’t been that productive in the system they have been confined in the last 2 years however let’s say if you put tutu atwell in Miami’s offense, would he be as productive as he is at Louisville under richt/enos calling plays? **** no not even close. Which is why i don’t get why some of you are so quick to write the talent we have at receiver off primarily due to them being in a sh*tty system. Let’s see what they do in a modern offense that gets playmakers the ball in space and runs a bunch of plays. If they get the same the results THEN you can have that opinion but until then that’s a ridiculous take period.

another point, we rotate our receivers too much as it is . Which is why so many of them are still raw when it comes to little nuances of the position as they are never in enough plays to get a feel of the game or to gain the experience they need. Look around does Oklahoma use receivers #4-7 on their roster regularly in the rotation? **** no they use primarily their top 2 and the 3rd guy. Minnesota this year used primarily their top 2 guys in their passing game in terms of receivers and that’s about it. We have been doing it too much over the past few years.About time we start cutting down the rotation of receivers to about 5 of them who plays regularly so they can get a better feel of the offense and in sync with the D’Eriq king

The WR is good we just don't have any big bodies. I don't know who started the rumor that our WR aren't good but that complete BS. It was just the Offense we ran. We can all agree that Jeff Thomas was elite but look how he looked in our O.
And if jeudy played in Miami offense the last 2 years he would look nothing like he did at bama guaranteed

WR#1 Payton/Pope/Redding
WR#2 Wiggins/Pope/Redding/Worsham
Slot Harley/Pope/Restrepo

Ideally we land the VT transfer and we can at least attempt to RS Worsham and or Restrepo. I think Redding is the most "game ready" but i'm not counting out Restrepo.

I could def see Brevin stealing reps from WR's as well.

I disagree 1000%.... KJ Osborn has 547 yards and 5 TDs last season. You can get that kind of production from any receiver on the roster. Grad Transfer WRs aren’t necessary.

I think we are definitely going to need a consistent depth threat for King to be really successful. Hazelton from VT would be an awesome addition, if we could land him.
