We need Quality Defensive Coordinator

He’s not bringing in a d coordinator, he’s going to let Banda call the defense and he will be involved in the game plans. He wants his defense ran not anyone else’s.

That would be a major Mistake. Manny should be Concerned with RESULTS ONLY.

CEO Rule #1

Al Golden 2.0 wanted to run his offense. Look what it got him....

Richt would have been able to run the offense if he could run a good offense. Tons of head coaches call plays. However, Manny has a guy who has been with his for a decade. I’m sure he can quickly have that guy ready to call plays and know how he likes it run

Tons?.....name 10 good ones that won something of note. I'll wait.

If true, Major MisMistake #1. Manny will end up firing Banda. Manny is an Average DC. Banda would be worse.

I’m not gonna compile some list when I’m not even saying Manny is going to call plays. But off the top of my head Doug Pedersen when the Eagles won the SB, Jimbo when FSU won the Natty, Mike Mcarthy when the Packers won.

3......Tons? 2 NFL guys....LMAO

The guys you named are great playcallers. Manny is far from a great DC.

14/32 current NFL head coaches call their own plays and plenty through NCAA do.

However, I never said Manny needs to call plays. I’ll also disagree on Manny as a DC. He may not be the best out there but he does a great job

Frank Reich called the plays for the Eagles last year Supper Bowl run

“I'm listening to Frank and the guys upstairs because they're seeing it from a different perspective than the guys on the field, too. Play-calling is a collaborative effort. Ultimately, it's my decision."

This is how Doug Pederson explains their system

I guess we view great differently. 👍

Manny getting an inexperienced guy should nt mean an incompetent guy. Every DC starts somewhere. Diaz needs to oversee the entire operation. You can see under Richt we had 2 mentality, one on D and one on O. Diaz need to drill it into the whole team. As for the DC, if we want to be among the best our entire staff must be able to stand up against the best teams in the country. Short changing, friendship hires, false loyalty needs to go. Diaz cannot make the same mistake Shannon, Golden and Richt did. Get ambitious competent a holes.

On the Joe Rose show yesterday, Dave Hyde asked Manny if he was going to call defensive plays and Manny replied that he would not, that he trusts his defensive staff, though he will be involved in that side of the ball. He added something to the effect of reviewing the structure of the defensive staff. I took that to mean that Banda, Patke and the defensive staff would remain but that he may be changing the Co-DC designation.

I heard that Banda was the one who created the defensive game plans. If so, it would seem that there’s no reason to expect a major shake-up of the defensive staff.

Manny better hire an Experienced DC. Banda aint it. You can't have a top-notch OC and an Inexperienced DC.

****outtahere...Banda didnt create ****. LMAO

Theres a 0% chance we could get Raymond. LSU is paying him a ridiculous amount and wont be outbid.

Every school in the country would love to hire him and he's turned down DC offers before.

He has been open to being a Miami DC specifically in the past. Richt didn't want him as DC though only as a DB coach. LSU outbid Miami in 2016 to keep him.
