We need professional referees in College Football.

College football is a billion dollar business where we have amateurs as referees for the games .College refs are part timers who are inconsistent,tenured,biased,and have enormous influence on the outcome of the game.A lot of these pathetic referees you see every year after horrible calls and inconsistencies without any consequences.Referees should be rated and if they do not make the grade they should be fired.There is no comparisons between college refs and the referees from the NFL.College referees should be full time professionals not affiliated with any league and consistently evaluated to improve the College football experience for the fans,coaches,and players .

The officiating last night was beyond heinous.

We certaintly had the majority of horrible calls against us, but the Turds had their share too.

It was awful.

Bad calls both ways.
I'll start out trying to be fair by saying I don't think the JW hit OB was a personal foul.
I'll finish by questioning how you don't call a procedure penalty on their 4th down conversion which led to a FG.
 
Bad calls both ways, but they certainly timed ours at the best time for the Gators. Missing that false start on 4th down is beyond pathetic. That official has one job at the snap, to make sure no one moves early. It wasn't even close.
 
This is a topic Ive been following for decades now. Being a Canes fan living in California I get a different perspective than many. The core of the problem is that the NCAA has refused to take on the responsibility of managing the officiating. They are still managed by each conference. That's total bull****. Games are called very differently in different conferences.

It starts with having one consistent standard for all calls. IMO the NCAA is nothing more than a management group that oversees a group of regional mafia-like organizations, which is why they don't want anything to do with nationalizing the officiating. ****, if they did the Pac 10/12 would never win an out of conference road game again. lol
