Meh, Babers knows the ACC Leach stuck in the weak pac12 would be a learning curve.Would rather have Mike Leach.
The question no one is askingWhat do we think of his age ?
Hey **** head, the evidence has been presented to you that Coach Babers has turned around three progams and you keep on waiting for Jesus. Babers is the man to take us to the promised land, but the window is closing fast. While you and others are still gushing over 60 plus year old has beens your looking at the next Saban/Meyer and we can get him.
Yes, look at his record, show me were he has achieved sustained success in consecutive years. This is a land mine that almost every AD across America has stepped on. The ADs see 10-3 and automatically the coach becomes a hot commodity. CMR went 10-3 last year and look were we are now.
Syracuse is 7-2 with wins over:
1. Western Michigan
2. Wagner
3. FSU
4 Connecticut
5. UNC
6. NC State (Good Win)
7. Wake Forest
And for the record, here is the win/loss total for Bowling Green 2013, the year before Dino Babers took over. It's not like he walked into a total rebuild situation.

I'm not saying Dino isn't a good coach, but lets give him another year or two before crowning him the Savior of Syracuse.

Nah that ship sailed tooDudes will give their right nut for Butch and he is 109, 55 years old isn't big deal

Common sense boys & girls.....
Just like CMR getting an extension after having a good 2017 season only to implode in 2018. Here is Dino's record so far at Syracuse, maybe you might want to see what he does next year, before you start throwing his name around as the next head coach of the University of Miami.

IMO, it's not about him being the savior of Syracuse football. It's about how he communicates with boosters, parents and 16-22 kids/young men. Combine those traits with how he hires his staff and his schemes...He checks off all the boxes for me. He beat Clemson already. His losses are close, he comes from a strong coaching tree, took him 14 years before becoming an OC and 26 years before becoming a HC. His approach to football and communication skills translate very well to Miami.
He isn't at a major program yet. He knows the ACC, PAC12, and BIG 12 very well. His offense would utilize the weapons we have. He has no causes for concern like Leach and Kiffin, which could scare off the powers that be. Bowling Green is TERRIBLE without him. Eastern Illinois hasn't won 8 games since he left. He has a chance to become the first 9 or 10 win Syracuse team since 2001. The media projected them last in the Atlantic this year.
If we wait on Babers we'll deeply regret it. I can't see him staying at Syracuse longer than 2020. I expect he'll get a raise + extension this offseason as well.
He's gonna be gone to another school before we are in our next search and for more money than we'd be willing to pay.

Case closed, get on the band wagon.
Hey signed, just saying he turned around EI, took BG to another level and now has Syracuse at 7-2 (4 point loss AT Clemson and beat them last year). What more do you want?Temple was 0-11 the year before Al Golden took over. With Golden they went 9-3 in 2009.
How did Al Golden work out for UM?
