All,

It's gonna be painful but the more I think about it, the better off we will be if the new president gets to make the call on the new coach.

I don't want Donna or Blake anywhere near the decision. Donna is done in May and Blake will surely be shown the door after. His performance in the newspaper regarding Golden have been embarrassing and pathetic.

You have to understand that the football coach is the highest paid employee at the University.

I believe that once Donna is gone and under the leadership of Stuart Miller, we will be going in a much different direction than in the past.

We have the $ to go to 5 mil per year easily for the next guy if necessary. Otherwise, you will be looking at candidates like Tom Herman and Scott Forst who can be had for Golden type numbers.

Tom Herman is my favorite candidate out there right now. Houston stole him for 1.5 mil per. Like Kevin Sumlin and Art Briles, Herman will look to move quickly. Goi watch his interviews. The guy is a stud and the next great head coach in college football. Plus, his wife is super hot.

Just hang tight.

We are going to lose a recruiting class, but that would have happened anyway if we fired Golden no matter who we brought in.

It could also be very likely the new president gives less of a **** than Shalala. We're not hiring a GM. It's not a guarantee the president will prioritize athletics.

Even if they don't prioritize it but just get a competent AD and support them that's enough if the AD just hires a good coach, whether Butch or someone else

UM football is a moneymaker. its a national brand like the yankees. go to a gym in ny and u see kids wearing UM gear still.

canesman,
What makes you think that golden will be fired after the 2015 season? What do you anticipate happening in 2015 that hasn't already happened in 2013 and 2014??

Odds on favorite as our next president is the retired Admiral. These types of guys don't ***c around. Stradaveris will clean house, believe that! We need solid AD first and foremost or we will keep getting BS coaches. Once Sam left this program went downhill fast . We need a Stud at AD first, everything else will fall into line after that.

This. I don't know why people simply assume golden will be gone at the end of the 2015 season. It's not guaranteed. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

We need a great Head Coach, but just as important we need great Assistant Coaches. Every good college team has great assistant coaches and coordinators. That's where we need to spend money and not be cheap.

Golden doesn't want to be here and the new leadership of the BOT does not want him here either.

Stuart Miller took over in May of 2014 as the chairman.

Strategically, we have to wait.

Golden is guaranteed to be gone unless he miraculously wins the ACC next year.

We just need an incoming president that understands basic capitalism, putting a good product out that people want to buy, trying to improve it. commies like Shalala refuse to grasp that concept. It is contrary to her entire Ideology

We can only hope the New Prez is a who wants the best for all the entities at UM! Al we need is a high caliber/professional coach and staff. The University, Admin, fans and students will all be happy. Al is the source of all our unhappiness.

If the new President comes in and after a short amount of time it becomes clear he is indifferent towards football prestige and a return to greatness I will go into a fetal position in the corner of a room and weep

How does anyone survive an atmosphere this toxic for another 10-11 months? The damage could be irreparable, and of course the fans will be blamed.

The way the administration and BoT are posturing it is more likely he will fill out his contract. That is why we shouldnt stop just because 'he is here in 2015, regardless.'

He looked pretty good because he was coming from Temple and wouldnt want to leave under NCAA cloud. Mullen or someone like that came, they would have had a ton of options and been out the door if they were lied too
