Aside from the points made by the other posters that we have the best class ever coming in, there is the fact that we have a bunch of kids leaving through the portal. There is literally no way to replace them other than by portal transfers. Any recruiting done now wouldn't start college until 2025.

Unless you want to field a team of 7 guys next year, we have to take transfers to even field a squad.

I'm trying to understand the complaint and the remedy. As others have said we're bringing in the best recruiting class in program history so it hardly seems like we're "neglecting" recruiting in favor of the portal. To that end the last several classes prior have been very good on paper even though so many of those guys flamed out and transferred. You can certainly criticize the ultimate outcome and evals of these guys but they were ranked high and had great offers. Hardly neglect. And since a bunch of guys are transferring out what do you want us to do? Not attack the portal and play with 5 or 6 scholarship players and fill the rest of the roster with walk-ons? What exactly do you want man? I'm not sure you thought this through.
