We have to win out.

We have zero room for error if we want to make the CFP. The standard we’re being held to is getting laughable.
I just read, and I quote “Miami droppped after getting off to a slow start and avoided what would have been a devastating loss to a sub .500 team at home”
Winning by 35 is avoiding loss, what the actual F?

of course that's the case. we lost 2 last year and didnt get in.

the only way we can lose another and get in is if we go 11-1 and make the ACC title game and we lose that one in competitive fashion as the committee has said and shown that they wont punish teams for making their title game

doesn't really. matter though, 11-1 and we're in, 10-2 we're not

:ibis-roflmao-sm3: Oh nowwwww, guys are shocked.. How you win matters.. This sport is also a beauty pageant, how you look, how you perform, style points matter.. Perception matters, narratives change, we will not get benefit of doubt grinding out wins against Syracuse and such, better start playing a better brand of football or watch us get picked apart..

Tried to tell em..

God bless anyone who believes we’re a lock for the playoffs if we win out. Pay attention to the narrative in the media as it evolves. More and more pundits will start to put ND ahead of Miami. If two ACC teams other than Miami finish with 1 loss and ND doesn’t lose again, I think we’re in trouble.

What's more attractive? a Miami team with 1 loss that does not make the ACCCG or a 1 loss Miami team that loses in the ACCCG?

If we win out we will be top 5. How could we possibly be left out? Be honest with yourself.

I hear what you’re saying and feel the same. There are some wierd scenarios. But I think UVA drops a couple. The Pitt GT game is massive. And Lousiville still has cal/clemson/smu. That’s not an easy stretch.

The key is Nov 4, the first CFP rankings. The real rankings. The SMU game is massive. Recency bias is real. A convincing big win @SMU will do a lot and could put us in a much more favorable position than 10. If we go into the final week/acccg at 10 and not in the acccg, I’d be worried

They will punish us for losing in the ACCCG... the reprieve rule is for SEC teams.... namely Georgia or Bama

What teams, in your opinion, are filling your style points and perception criteria?

Doesn’t matter what the pundits do they aren’t picking the teams

Dycane with some stupid ****. Lmao yeah we win out go 11-1 and don’t make the playoffs.
If GT wins out and is 11-1, loss to UGA.
Let’s say Lousiville wins out and is in the ACCCg vs GT. 11-1.

They set the precedent last year that the confrence championship won’t eliminate you from the playoffs.

So there’s scenarios where Miami is the 3rd acc team, and I don’t think they put 3 acc teams in the playoff
