Mid season announcements hosted by cbs sports. College football is so far off the rails.

Glad kids can make money they deserve it but this is so far from the sport I grew up watching and loving.

I still watch every game and attend some each year as well but it doesn’t feel the same. Maybe I’m just getting old. I’d be curious if ppl under 25 feel the same way or if this digital fast pace world they grew up in make its not a big deal with the mess college football has become.

More than likely, the announcement is going to be that he's returning to Oregon ST, because it's assumed that he's going to hit the Portal at the end of the season.

And that's not a bad thing at all. It's better for him to get out in front of it rather than let it linger all offseason.

Oregon ST took a chance on him when no one else would, so this could be him staying loyal to them. Which is what most of you guys claim you want from modern players.

Please say he will sit out the remainder of the season and transfer and come to Miami with Mali.

Wild times. Glad he is likely staying and remaining loyal, but just announce it. Why the big production distraction? What’s even crazier is, it literally means nothing. Oregon St can go 6-6 next year, and the sharks will be lurking with a bigger bag than Oregon St can ever dream of paying him, then what? Mensah announced he was staying too, til big dawg pulled up at the last second. I don’t trust a word any of these kids and their camp says and believe nothing until they are on the sidelines. That includes our guys too.

Any of you guys ever been to/through Corvallis?

I drove through it about a year ago. The price for me to go there/live there would be so astonomically high that it would never happen. It's literally in the middle of nowhere. You're surrounded by men and women with beards as well as Sasquatches. It's not a good place. Meng.

I could live there.

BUT, I'm also not a fan of cities/traffic and I like the outdoors. Isolated/rural areas are where I like to live.

It's certainly not a great place if you want lots of things to do.

Need an announcement in cbssports for that?

I get it. Would 19 year old HurricanesR1 want to live there?

It's not just the rural aspect to me. It's the weirdo vibe that also lurks in that area.
I would since I was raised in the country but as a 19 year old star football player? Nope lol.

I guess I'm referring to the geography of an area like Corvallis is something that appeals to me but I'm with you regarding the demographics of that area. Oregon is a weird state and only gets weirder the more north you go.
