Most teams would be blessed to just have one candidate. We have an embarrassment of riches with 2 in the same side of the ball.

Critics might say Stanford stinks and that may end up being true but in the first game of the season we flew a million miles away to play an ACC opener with a new QB Receiver combo that had never played together in a real game and shattered decades old records in less than 3 full quarters of play! That wasn't just luck or because the other teams sucks, it's straight up talent, coaching, and chemistry.

Yes but I don’t need to see Toney striking the pose every time he scores. I give him leeway because he’s an 18 year old kid having fun. When Desmond Howard did it 30 years ago it was fairly impromptu and against Ohio St in late November if i remember correctly AND not Week 1 playing lowly Stanford.

Beat me to it by 1 minute. I said this in the discussion last night but saying it again: been watching this team since Eddie Brown, and saw the 80s, 90s, early 2000 etc greats, Toney is the best wide receiver I have ever seen play here.

-Need him to move the chains for a tough 2 yard catch. Yep.
-Need him to run a flurry of mid range routes in zone or against man. Yep.
-Need him to cook someone deep. Yep.
-need him to return kicks, run reverses, throw halfback passes. Yep.

Old timers. I don’t care. I am one, too. Hes the best.

You’re ready to put him ahead of Andre Johnson for pure dominance and Wayne for just all around ability?
 
Toney is the most versatile player we've probably ever had.
He plays WR.
He can take handoffs on jet sweeps.
He can run from the wildcat.
He can throw TD passes.
He returns punts.

He's more than just a WR.
 
Jeremiah Smith is obsessed with Malachi Tony, Tony is in his head now I see he was doing the Heisman like Tony in his game today, Man don't steal that man flow set your boring *** down! Create your own style bro

A lot of guys do it but none do it week 1 until Mali lol of course he’s in his head. Can’t be king of South Florida if you run away from it

Yep. At this point better overall. Can do more and hes great at everything. At this point in his career the numbers support it as well in addition to the eye test.

If I could pick 1 historical wr of ours in a draft this would be my order:

1. Toney
2. Playmaker
3. Dre
4. Wayne
5. Eddie Brown
