At least he has the excuse of actually being in highschool 6 months ago. He moved the offense better than 1st and 2nd string guys and that’s the real issue.
 
I was just trying to quote somebody in the thread.

I watched the game on the phone with Jackie Triplet semi pro.. actually breaks down dirt and grind and had you kept saying. D alignment was horrible.

Hopefully Mario will get some dudes that want to f****** not lose. I knew when I played organized sports and went up basically to high School level, that we hated losing. Absolutely hated losing. We lost three times over 3 years as white boys playing hoops.

Hated the taste of busting your ****, having an L and then taking showers. Our coach literally threw the ball at us and beat us not to lose.

Nothing sucks more getting bombed by a rival.

I could see this coming a mile away without binoculars we have been blown out by garbage teams and FSU has been playing decent ball.this is gonna be the worse season and off season will be just as bad cause no matter what we are told we won't know anything about next year's team till they actually play the first regular season game and trust me I'm not psychic but I'm getting a bad feeling about next year

Boy I was attacked called names because I saw ALL this glaringly clear my football and experience IQ was screaming of weakness of players and mentioned it many times.

Now we are FOOD , teams will eat and BURP satisfied.

It will take (2) more years of double flushing these players.

Here’s what I blame on the players:

-1st drive, all the momentum starts our way on defense. It’s, I believe, 3rd & 11. Travis is wary & throws a bad pass into double coverage. Corey Flagg blasts the WR well b4 the ball gets there. P.I. Drive extends; after an Offsides, next play Ivey gets smoked in coverage 7-0 FSU. Team immediately looks deflated.

-2nd FSU drive…defense stiffens up, force FSU into a 3rd & 9 in the RZ. Again, Travis throws an ill advised pass. Stevenson **** poor technique leads him to reach out, grab & pull egregiously on Wilson. Extends drive.

-Still 2nd possession: 3rd & Goal from the 2.5, Agude reads the play perfectly, yet he gets off of Lundy way too fast instead of staying w/ him. Instead of holding his block w/ Lundy to string out Travis just a second more as the defense was rallying towards him, he allows Lundy a free release. 14-3

-Canes 2nd possession: 3rd & 2, & the OL gets zero push

-FSU’s 4th possession: After a shanked punt, FSU takes possession at our 39. 1st play, there were 3 missed tackles on Benson:
-one behind the l.o.s by Flagg for a 2 yrd loss
-one by Wes for a minimal gain
-one by Stevenson for a 5 yrd gain.
25 yrd run
Next play, after an 8 yrd gain, Benson is stuffed, yet he bounces to the outside. Stevenson gives zero effort to get off his block, it was like he was just standing there, w/ no leg & arm movements to fight off of Wilson. Benson has a clear path to the end zone. 21-3

That’s on the players; the missed tackles, dumb penalties, along w/ Scaife looking like a turnstile, are on the players. The scheme, not adjusting to what FSU was doing on O, that’s on coaching.

It’s why this entire season has been a cluster fck of incompetence from top to bottom.

I feel the same pain brother!

These kids just scramble home and do kids stuff sleep late, movies , partying and do on.

And the off-season repeats itself , the Restrepo type players take (2) weeks off heal them 24-7 training starts with studying there positions and critique there weaknesses over and over even participating in camps constantly.

Oh and taking extra classes so they don’t have school pressure during season.
I really see very few players doing this work , they’re play tells me they don’t.

The coaches cannot force anyone to fo anything.

Till we get more Restrepo Parrish type players coaches are stuck with this situation.

Honestly quit caring by halftime last night. Seemed overall our team/staff had already quit for the most part. Few exceptions.

Mario hired the worst OC ever. Either he knew Gattis sucked or he’s too stupid to know it. Either way massive question marks. Mario should be on the hot seat. Looks like a terrible situation where we owe money to a guy who can’t coach and we can’t afford to fire.

I’m willing to give Mario a pass this year but holy **** he better show something because right now he seems worse than Diaz as game day and tactical coach.

I’m not in disagreement with this post….. But we’re stuck with this dude for a while, sooos we’ve gotta make the most out of it. We can’t divorce him right now, even if we wanted to. So we either keep hoping he gets the right guys in here to help turn this ship around…. or just turn off the tv on Sat…. or just watch and drink. 🤷🏾‍♂️
