Great arguments on both sides , but there LSU like most teams through my experience in the day will practice like 20-25 plays over and over even throw in a long pass play on the initial snap constantly practicing these plays till perfection in practice.

Teams put so much effort and practice time in these plays that when our D inflicts havoc turmoil even a "turn over chain" it adds a question mark in there mind of WOW we threw our best and got sacked and stuffed even a that **** "turn over chain" came out again GEEEZ look in there eye with coaches grabbing chalk boards regrouping and so on.

Putting our D out there is always a bold inspired in your face move of show us your best WE DON'T RESPECT IT OR GIVE A HOOT .

YES I'M READY LETS KICK IT.

I feel like the last time we willingly took a kickoff to open the game, Howard Schnellenberger was the head coach. Deferring has been the Miami M.O. for decades.

Nope... Captain Sapp did it versuz UWa when the OB streak ended... screwed up and allowed UW to score immediately
after halftime

You know, to my memory, Jimmy Johnson was the first coach to win the toss and defer, putting his D on the field. Before him, teams always took the ball if they won the toss. I see him as an innovator there.

Honestly in this game I’d love to get the ball first and score then put pressure on LSU’s young offense
