Relax people. Golden not getting fired. Far better chance he quits for another job which would put UM's program back another couple of years

he's a nice guy but also thought tuberville would be our next coach.

Is there some rule that says to be involved in sports media as a beat writer you have to know nothing about sports, or is it unique to us? The people who cover this team are ******* school spirit junkies who I have little doubt have ever played competitive sports at any level.

I mean SMD, this dude, Reynolds, Navarro? Holy ****.

How are we going to find a guy to go 6-5 with a roster full of NFL players on such short notice?!

I really don't get the love affair with Folden. He's an 8-4, 7-5 lifer and faculty, fans, and media think axing him us a bad idea. WTH?

Sports writers are the worst. They went to journalism school thinking they were going to be Bob Woodward. They were going to be a hot**** reporter at the New York Times and have presidents scared ****less when they stood up to ask a question at a press conference. Fast forward a few years. They've graduated, they're in debt, the newspaper industry is rapidly dying, and instead of bringing the president to his knees, they're making a ****** salary covering a Wednesday night HS football game for the Sun-Sentinel.

Then they have to do it objectively, without a rooting interest. Except everyone who consumes it is a fan who is likely irrational, illogical, and emotional. The ONLY people who care are fans. They get frustrated with people who don't see things the way they do. After all, they're the ones who have come down and graced these ridiculous fans with their massive intellect. They wouldn't even be working this crummy job if Deadspin would just read the samples they submitted. The fans, not surprisingly continue to act like fans, and the writer begins to hate them for it.
