We can beat FSU without Kaaya connecting on the deep ball

We'll need some big passing plays, but it doesn't necessarily have to come on deep balls. The middle was wide open vs. UNC, so Njoku or Herdon could have huge games. Coley & Richards can make plays after the catch, so hitting them on the run on intermediate routes can turn into big plays.

Either way, Kaaya is going to have to be on from start to finish.

A consistent running game would be a bigger difference. Kaaya was able to light them up deep last year but FSU still won because the running game averaged a yard per carry. A better balance on offense will reap huge dividends.

We need Kaaya and silky smooth Richards to get on the same page early, b/c once Richards gets going it seems like the whole offense starts to gel... I'm not worried about the defense at all. **** they almost put up more points then the offense last week.

I'm not so worried about not completing long passes so long as UM somewhat consistently attempts them and makes FSU respect them. If Miami plays it ultra conservative and tries to dink and dunk underneath without using the threat of the deep ball to keep the FSU defense honest, it's going to be a problem.
