We can beat FSU without Kaaya connecting on the deep ball

we can snap the ball and win

they allow 7 yards per play.. we literally can win doing anything

If we can score 36 points then I think we win the game, which I think we will do. I think we will probably have a few big players in there but it may not necessarily be a big pass across the field.

False. It's a rivalry game. You can throw everything you have seen over the last few weeks out the window. We will have to open the playbook up to win this game.

The running game is more important than the deep pass game.

Their defense is usually exploited in the middle of the field.

Kaaya's intermediate game will be more important than his deep game although I do think we will take some shots.

My computer says we need 39

Our OL cannot support an effective running game. If we don't get huge yardage passing, we will lose.

Crossing routes should be there all day and should go screen to because fsu is aggressive they ight even use a screen with cook on us. We have to play smart

I don't know if we have to hit deep balls, but Kaaya has to be excellent. He's gotta outplay the frog and carry the team.

This is the kind of game where njoku can shine. Think Richards is good for 2-3 explosive plays. Coley scores at least once and leads team in catches. Hopefully Walton can take advantage of the screen and wheel route game.

But why wouldn't Kaaya connect on the deep ball? He does that often and has against FSU the past two years.

I think early on we'll pass to set up the run game...

This is the game where Richt is going to open up the playbook, so I think we'll spread'em out & force them to pick their poison.

If they drop back in Zone then we'll run in it down their throats, if they plan on blitzing Kaaya & bringing pressure then we'll force that Safety to commit & that's when Richards/Coley will Kill'em over the top... And Joku will eat in the middle of the field.

The thing I want to see, is for us to control the line of scrimmage & win the time of possession battle.

Gotta win 3rd down on both sides of the ball, and we can't play too cautious, attack these mutha****as all game long!
Put the pressure on them, and dictate the game... Force them to play our game & not their game.

couldnt be more FALSE. If we are not taking shots down the field i may hang myself. Yes their defense has been getting shredded but keep in mind who they have played...4 elite college offenses that all have qb's who can gash you with the run.

Some of the other posters are just not being realistic. I said Kaaya will throw the ball between 40 and 45 times. I don't believe we will be running all over them. We need to throw the ball to win.

This is going to be a close game most of the way.

False, see above^^ rivalry game, and we needed the deep ball to distance ourselves from App St after they decided to bring their safeties up to stop our run game. Its chess and against good coaches they'll force U to execute in every way to beat them. We'll be forced to adjust and execute the entire playbook including the deep ball. There's no question about this, it happens every time we play them.

Im going to go full Madden-Theismann love child here...

Key to Miami victory? Have more points on board at end of game than FSU.

Insightful I know.

Thank you!! last 2 years we have played well against them and should have won despite the talent and depth and COACHING. Its a rivalry game man FSU is going to come out and play ball. This isn't going to be a cake walk idk why some guys think that.

I actually think with less explosive plays our chances go up. If we produce more 4-5 yd plays vice big plays, we will control the ball more and keep their offense off the field. They have a good offense but a terrible defense so it only makes sense.
