We building an NFL front office

I know our website isn't up to date but Bama has 45 people on payroll for football alone.

This is going to take some time but it's clear there is a blueprint and the entire organization is bought in from top to bottom. The resources are there and the foundation is now being laid.
I think based on what we’ve seen we’re basically close to there pure man power wise, with any remaining gaps (prob the analysts) being filled by end of year 1. And we’re already leading them and basically everyone in the new NFL front office approach. Also factor in Canes legends and guys like Orgeron who are defacto analysts part time at least but are just hanging around practices regularly for free.

Years 1-3 will be needed to get the culture and ops into peak shape.

Need to close a massive recruiting class and we’re off to dominating a new era.

8 can’t happen but I agree in general. Noticeable lack of NFL talent the last two classes then maybe one more this year.llkkl
Take another look at the rooster. It's true that Mario turned water into wine with the 2022 recruiting class in addition to completely overhauling the DL

We're getting there but honestly, I'm not sure we're all that close. The way they display their org on their website is different. Their other departments (comms, graphics, video, medicine, etc) all have substantial payroll on the Football side (as do we, just not as much).

Additionally, their Crimson Tide foundation department is nuts. Hurricane Club can't even come close.

One really interesting hire is the Associate AD for Facilities that we hired from Northwestern: https://miamihurricanes.com/staff/marcus-attles/. Northwestern was ranked 9th in nicest facilities this year (not that that list necessarily means much) and has a very similar geo to us. In a somewhat dense area constrained with limited real estate to play around with.

My definition of close is 2-3 years out with singular focus and institutional buy in, which we undeniably have now. I’m that time no one will recognize the Athletic department anymore, we’ll have new facilities it sounds like, everything will be firing on full cylinders etc.

I don't care what we call these positions, i.e., Assistant of This or Associate of That, as titles are completely irrelevant. If the responsibilities are clear and the people are competent, then it will work.

Additionally, and not to pick at the OP's title too much, but I don't want an "NFL Front Office." I want a program designed to win in college football, and I do believe that's what we're trying to do.

As one of the prime critics of the BOT and others, I have to admit being surprised by the level of planning behind the scenes that had taken place- the boosters, coaches, and AD were clearly in the works.

It's now or never.

It’s hard to perform in college football week in and week out. My biggest concern with Mario is that we will drop a game we shouldn’t. I’ve always been worried about his in game decision making.

With that being said, there are very few teams who don’t drop games they should win. Bama, UGA, usually Clemson and OSU are pretty much the only ones who regularly win 90%+ of their games they should win. My hope is that Miami gets so talented that they can outperform any team on their schedule, even on a bad day

That's what they said about Kirby and even Saban loses games almost every year. Its very difficult to go undefeated. Look at OU who had the Big 12 in a head lock, same thing. When we get this thing humming, we have shown we have the ability to go undefeated in multiple generations with multiple coaches. How quickly we get there is the question

Please can we give Mario time? If we win 8 games this year can we not call for him to be fired? Can we finally realize were a few classes away from the big boys & let him get his recruiting classes here?
Anything less than 100-0 every game and nattys starting this season are unacceptable results.

Fly The Banners if an opposing O even crosses 50yd line.
