We are ranked #32 (Coaches) and #33 (AP)

Nah, aTm is #23, a win will just get us ranked 20-25. We would need for teams to start losing to move any higher.
agreed, I mentioned in my post that heading into the UNC game we would be top 10-15 - because that would be three weeks after A&M and after we steamroll bethune, temple, and GT + others ahead of us losing

I hear ya. I don't think there are a ton of marquee matchups in September. Teams start to lose in October, and unless there is a bloodbath by October 7th, I'm just not convinced.

Week 2 ranked games - Ole Miss (20) v. Tulane (24), Texas (11) vs. Alabama (3)
Week 3 ranked games - None
Week 4 ranked games - Ole Miss (20) vs. Alabama (3), F$U (4) vs. Clemson (25), Ohio Taint (5) vs. Notre Dame (10); Colorado (22) vs. Oregon (13)
Week 5 ranked games - Utah (12) vs. Oregon State (16), LSU (14) vs. Ole Miss (20), Duke (21) vs. Notre Dame (10), USC (6) vs. Colorado (22)
Week 6 ranked games - Alabama (3) vs. aTm (23), Oklahoma (18) vs. Texas (11)

I'd expect Ole Miss and Duke to drop. The rest depends on whether certain teams offset a loss to a ranked team with a win over a ranked team.

I'm always curious who's giving that one 25th place vote to whatever obscure team that always ends up in "others receiving votes". Who was like "James Madison is definitely one of the 25 best teams in the country". And who was so impressed with Texas Tech after they lost to Wyoming that they still voted for them to be ranked? Is Wyoming a "good loss"?

But now Colorado is ranked lol

If Nebraska comes out and play mash mouth football be physically dominate and run the ball down Colorado throat they win the game...I don't care how fast Colorado looks as a team. Players takes on the personality of their coach and we all know Prime is anything but physical!! If Hunter is gonna play both ways make him earn it.... let's see if he he is willing to tackle their rbs and that qb every play.

2022 TCU is basically the equivalent of 2017 Miami if we didn't lose to Pitt to end the year. Then we would have lost to Clemson, been a 4 seed in the playoff, etc. and got blown out. TCU somehow lucked into beating Michigan. Just one of those things that can happen if you get there.

Were we good in '17? No. Had a solid team and a ton of luck.

Teams don't just lose 65-7. Georgia didn't lay 60 on anyone else.... They didn't even beat Vandy that bad. Then TCU loses all of their best players on offense and defense. I'd go out on a limb and say they're not even making a bowl game this year
Lots of facts. TCU was a fluke last year. When it came down to it they could not really compete with a real team.

You’re right if Nebraska can and is willing to do that.

TCU is not physical… UGA showed that last year. And they a much less talented team this year. If Rhule doesn’t want to get ran out the stadium he won’t try to get in a shoot out with CU. And you’re absolutely correct… run at Hunter as much as possible.

Probably the most extensive fluke season I can remember.

Idk if I would even call it a total fluke. They were good and Dykes can coach. Extremely lucky but they put themselves in a good position every week and then the luck resulted in a win. Good but not National Championship appearance good.

Yes, no doubt. They totally came in under the radar where teams did not focus on them as they should have. Georgia came prepared and annihilated TCU in the most lopsided win in college playoff history.

Their national title hopes should have ended with Baylor, but they somehow won that game.

I actually think that it positions us perfectly. I want to come under the radar, but not TOO under the radar. In the 30's is within striking distance, but not ringing alarm bells yet.

Yeah, you want to slip outta bed before first light, ease out the door like a ninja, and when she awakens - you'll really be remembered. Fondly. And often.

Agree. I'd see us switching places with them or sliding into #24-25. Going into UNC undefeated would probably gets us to the Top 15 or right outside of it.
