The only thing I know is that Richt is a **** of a lot better than Golden and I believe Golden was the problem.

Golden wasn't the problem, he was a symptom. The problem was the University of Miami hiring cheap coach after cheap coach. But I agree, Richt is a monumental upgrade over Golden, or any other coach we've had since Butch Davis.

That was kinda my point. Regardless of the backstory about how athletics were neglected under Shalala's tenure, when you see games lost because it looks like the team either gives up or gets a late start, it's the coach. Having said that, by any objective measure Richt is a better coach than Golden.
