We (almost) have the players

People getting Covid-19 stir crazy; So that's still ten teams (four of which have owned the playoffs) that do have the ratio. Let's be honest, using their shoulda coulda woulda calculations they did for Miami, you can probably add another half-dozen teams.

I'm with a couple of the realists above; How about ten wins and the Coastal Crown first, of course the only time we've done that we ate our young and picked it apart. Then maybe we can try and figure out how to beat Clemson.

Some people like these type analysis to dream of things that could be - don't wanna rain on your parade; I see them as things that maybe we should wait to run out for when we actually get in the zipcode of being back.

We have had the players to win the ACCC Coastal for 15 plus years, we have won it as many times as Duke.

Coastal Titles (This will make you puke)
VT - 7
GT - 5
Pitt -1
UVA - 1
UNC -1
Duke - 1
Miami - 1

Agreed that it's stomach churning. Miami doesn't have a "talent issue." Miami has had more than enough talent to win the ACC coastal multiple times over the past 18 years. A talent issue could be discussed if were consistently losing to Clemson the ACC championship game but unable to get over the hump. The inability to win the ACC coastal even twice is 100% a coaching problem.

We had a chance to finally remedy the problem last year- Blake James thinks he got the right guy so no coaching search was needed. I'm extremely skeptical- you don't hire a coach from a failed regime and expect success. James obviously thinks Diaz is Miami's Dabo, but Clemson was in pretty good shape when Dabo took over, not barely over .500. Maybe I'm wrong- if Diaz can win 11 (I think 10 is underachieving for most top coaches with how easy the schedule is this year) I'll admit James made a decent decision. Otherwise, I look forward to the Mario Cristobal era :)

Dawg, we still had a 2 star freshman start at one of the more important positions and get manhandled by Zuniga.
