With all the winning and the success of our season so far, I would hope our staff can target some new players and maybe even flip a few we haven’t been in contact with before. There hasn’t been a better time to be at Miami in a very long time.

Obviously this class is already shaping up to be great, but I can’t help feeling like we’re due for some blue chip five stars, hopefully at linebacker or safety. It will be interesting to see if we start to see some new names popping up on the board soon.

With the recruiting game increasingly more about money, what are some guaranteed revenue streams potentially coming? ACC Championship? College Football Playoffs? Advancing in the playoffs?

Is Miami’s SMV higher than today’s 5 stars? That is the question. Apparently not since I don’t see anyone beating down the door to get in. No NIL, I think we are spinning plates.

We've been told for years that if we can show results on the field the big names will come... well now seems like the time. I trust Mario's evaluation of players but these local 5 Stars need to start coming. Outside of WRs to OSU theres no other program more attractive for these guys.

These are the right questions. College football recruiting is primarily a money game now. On-field success and having an NFL pipeline matter, but cash runs the show. That’s why USC crushed it this offseason and entered the season with the No. 1 recruiting class, even after flopping the last two years under Lincoln Riley. They've got fresh backing from big-money donors and that hefty Big Ten rev share, and it's paying off big time.

I assumed a few would have flipped by now especially since we really didn’t see that much movement in December last year. Class needs to be top 5 given success.
It was talked about quite a bit this summer how this was not the year to try and rely on flips. With the house settlement looming and there now being rules around NIL, it was going to be more lucrative for a player to sign an NIL deal prior to that. Now if things changed, apologies but that was my understanding.

i always tell my kids rich people dont brag and real gangsters dont advertise
basically i would not be suprised if we did have some flips but its all kept in silence until the very end
with NIL and money being thrown around I could see this as the new trend in college football
and u know how mario likes to keep under wraps
