Alright, so we've had a really rough season, so I thought I'd share a little good news. I just picked up a guitar amp from Steve Howe of Yes and Asia fame. Still surprised my wife let me get it. It's programmed with lots of his sounds from over the years. Any other guitarists out there getting through this season by buying gear? It's a **** of an antidepressant.

Man, I’d probably not mess was the thing as it has value outside of it’s utility. You are talking about a rock hall of fame type guitarist that played for 2 supergroups and owning a piece of memorabilia connected to that the right person may pay lots of money to add to a collection How did you find it?

Shop in London has some of his gear they are selling off. Was really just dumb luck. I was looking for an older AC30 when I found their listings. When I saw this amp, with all the settings, I jumped on it. They did a bad job of representing what it is, and what it has in it. They didn't even mention it came with the road case and pedal system, which is worth what I paid for the whole setup. Just crazy.

Good find. I wonder how they came across it? He probably owned a lot of amps but to think you own one of his equipment is pretty cool. I was a big Yes fan growing up. He’s an amazing guitarist as well.

From the sound of it he must live close to the shop, as they contacted him to ask some of the questions I had. They made it sound like he was a local. Also had pictures of him with a bunch of the gear, which supports the theory.

Steve was my first guitar hero growing up, so it's a heck of a treasure to me.

Really have had the urge to grab a Japanese Les Paul lately. Trying to fight it .
Lots of good guitars have come from Japan. Some of the older Yamahas are unreal, quality wise. It's the Chinese stuff you really need to stay away from.

For sure, I def try to as much as possible. I’ve been attempting to scale back my taste lol

I got a crate GT-15 I've had it for almost 9 years now, been thinking about upgrading to the GT-50 but I don't play guitar as much I used to. I got a Aria Pro 4 all Black, but I prefer to play Keyboard a lot more.

Really want to get a Roli Seaboard, but that thing cost a grip man lol.

I never took lessons, but have been playing for about 25 years. Can’t pull off a solo to save my *** though. First guitar was a cheap Ibanez RG series. Since then, I’ve picked up a Jackson KE2 (that’s my baby), and an Ibanez 7 string. I’d like to upgrade my amp, but not really sure what to get.

Learn some scales.

Been on a pedal kick for awhile. Picked up Dug Pinnick's new pedal from Tech 21 and realized I could just sell the others - it's that awesome. If anyone here plays bass and you love that Growl Dug gets - I'd highly recommend. Can't wait to do some recording with it and wish I would have had it prior to recording our CD (Black Rose Bloom - Superbloom.

That's a great find, on that rig. I saw yes, back in the 80s and the crushed. Of course, Chris Squire was one of those players that was just other worldly. Enjoy it, man.

I have been through the acquisition and purge phase so many times I can’t even count. Always ends up costing me money LOL.

Right now I am the owner of a lonely Taylor acoustic - however my near future plans include a PRS singlecut and Mesa Tremoverb combo, along with restoring my pedaltrain setup which was (IMO) perfection.
