Watching Vilma,

People misunderstand the Butch position by most of the board. It's not that anyone hates Butch, you'd be an idiot to, but he also isn't the only coach we could have hired that would have had success here. We've had multiple chances to take a step forward but have bungled it. Butch would have been the best option of taking a step backwards, that's the problem. Rehiring him because the rest of our decisions are so crappy is one strategy, I guess, but it would just put a band-aid on the broken system. I'm sure the Russell Athletic Boys noticed his defense flopping to get 11 men on the field, etc. Yeah, he's still pretty flawed on game day, and that was against Manny and his misfits.

Is the University having ridden out the success of literally the football team and creating a now brand.....

To only **** on the very thing that made the school known. Even out here in CA.

The school did not wise up and reinvest in him. And the school really has not invested in any part of the football program on a serious level for many, and I mean many years.

If the University of Miami does not get serious about keeping the image and brand and trying to be a nationally recognized college. The U will not mean ish anymore. We will become something like Wake Forest. Unfortunately we're already becoming too close to that as it is.

Doesn't make it any better, like I said, no one here would question it. All you guys see is face value, and yes I get it. I agree, the best ones are usually egotistical, but there's still a line

Lol 2 of the guys you listed were with butch for 1 year and 2 others weren’t with him at all

I believe it but his record vs his rivals warranted skepticism. The browns though he was a jimmy. They were wrong.
