Watching Mario's Postgame...

Poyser looked lively.
Scott was electric
Malachi was insane

Do those guys not practice?

It’s the midpoint of the season. They are not over worked in practice. They were flat. Dawson had a bad game. Heatherman had a bad first quarter. Beck had his worst game ever. We lost by 3. It sucks.
he had three games last year where he threw 3 picks

As you get into conference play, you need to rely more on strategy and scheme… not just “out talenting” your opponent.

Mario and his coaching staff repeatedly fail in that area.

Brohm clowned Mario tonight.
Brohm had the easy job tonight. His team was beat down and left out by fans after losing at home to UVA.

Miami was sitting around hearing how they may be best team, and people talking about the trenches may be the best.

Brohm challenges his team for 2 weeks. Easy motivation no one gives you a chance, they think they are 2 TDs better than you, challenged his OL/DL manhoods.

Meanwhile Mario is on media tour.

Anyone who watched Louisville play tonight KNOWS that was BY FAR the best game they layed all season.

Anyone who watched Miami play all season KNOWS that was By FAR Miamis worst game played all season.

Thats why its hard to run the table. Ebbs and flows of the season.

Next week Louisville will
Probably be in a close game at half with a bad BC team.

Was at the game like so many and an extremely disappointing loss. Beck was terrible, our defense was bad, running game was atrocious, and Mario was Mario. I have never seen a man ***** up so many times with poor usage or no usage of time outs. For all you Mario slurpers this program will never ever compete for a Natty with him at the helm. He is a marvelous recruiter but he has way too many flaws. I think he burns out our players with his tough practices. Also, that man SHOULD EVER be entitled to manage the clock because he is CLUELESS. I don't know what happens in the last part of the year but if history is a barometer be prepared to not win the ACC not make the playoffs. Finally, make NO mistake about Cam Ward made Dawson. He is a big buffoon who is so predictable with almost zero imagination and his playing calling last night was beyond atrocious. The entire stadium knew where we were going with that play. MARIO, BECK, AND DAWSON are the three stooges. Mario ALWAYS gets outcoached and last night was a prime example. Our OL is not evern top ten and waht a disappointment. Mario's been here almost 4 years and penalties are an absolute disgrace. It is a DIRECT reflection of this head coach who is a CHARLATAN. The entire country watched us embarrassed ourselves with a bye. No excuses because if he didn't have the 10 year contract I'd fire this MEATHEAD! This loss was on Mario, Beck, and Dawson. I pray Dawson leaves next year! So hard to be a Canes fan and watch a head coach mismanage the sideline game after game after game.

Mario has mentioned several times that they lean heavy on the sports science department and are big into recovery. I’m not sure about your theory but you never know.

I can't help, but wonder if Mario is wearing these guys down in practice over the course of the season. Bain, Mesidor, Daniels, the OL, and much of the back 7 (minus Scott)--heck, even CB--all played without juice: like they were worn down and otherwise unprepared to play a physical game in their highest gear.

As a former (high school) athlete, I know what it's like to play games with dead legs (because some bozo coaches never give time to rest and recover during the course of a long season) and these guys sure looked the part tonight--gassed and lethargic, being simply "out-physicalled" at the point of attack.

And putting two-and-two together--i.e. going on past history with Mario's teams at Oregon AND Miami--a common theme is late-season collapses. I think it's probably a combination of not getting better by making the proper coaching/preparation adjustments, AND wearing guys down physically at practice.

It is so frustrating to know that Miami is always at its best under Mario on Week 1. But after a bye week filled with intensive practices, it could make a lot of sense and be the culprit. Anyone know what they practice like during season? It is so frustrating to be a Miami fan.

We got beat by a better coached team. It was a coaching clinic. Nothing less, nothing more.

When ACC play starts, there’s enough film out there. It’s not a coincidence that’s when our staff always gets out coached

Late season collapses are usually more to due to tougher conference schedules late in the season and trends on tape that good coaches attack and poor coaches continue to execute thinking it's ONLY about execution when it's not. Can tough practices wear players down? Sure. But i highly doubt that's ever the issue unless those practices are leading to injuries. Coaching/calls matter.

The run concepts here have sucked for years. Yeah there are games where this OL just wins on size and makes holes but time and time again we've seen the OL not move people bc the "form a wall and hope a hole opens" bs doesn't work consistently. It's not like a typical zone or power scheme. It's weird.....and it's the same inside zone with little creativity, so MUCH less for a DC or DL/LBs to worry about. No eye candy. Very few counters. The D is allowed to come downhill and not worry much about responsibilities.

I've said it for a long time now that this offense needs to incorporate some pistol and allow some off tackle/outside zone and do more counters to loosen up the front 7. Those concepts will open up play-action and other wrinkles, like TE usage that Dawson is allergic to at times, even when Arroyo was here.
