I see we both have the same opinions on the LBs poppa Shaq like we talked about.
Just speaking hypothetically on the next two potential LB classes. I see best fits as
Shaq - MLB (Love his instincts, plays sideline to sideline and improved ability to drop back in pass coverage senior year. True MLB, I think he can play any Lb position but I believe best fit is MLB)
Mike - WLB (Smart, consistent tackler. Great pop at point of contact and love his ability to drop into coverage. Can play MLB but I think best fit is WLB)
McCloud? - SLB (Freak athlete, fast, aggressive and has the size and frame. Violent to put it in the best word. Versatile but I think best fit is SLB to fit his attributes)
Next year
Dunning - MLB (Something about Dunning game has striked me as an old school cane linebacker thumper. Like a Barrow type. True MLB type, can play SLB but best fit is at MLB)
Kearney - SLB or WLB (I'm very high on Kearney, think he's very versatile. His ability to play both sides of the ball speaks levels to how athletic he is. Can play MLB if needed. Can play either side on the outside. Prefer him at OLB)
Steed - WLB (Spence clone, and the irony of it. Spence is his idol. Very high football IQ and great instincts. Can play MlB if needed but I think his best fit is WLB)
Cowan? - DE/SLB (I think Cowan can play in space and he has shown improvement with that in his junior film, I'm just more concerned with how big he is going to get, I think his future is with his hand in the ground. Love his pass rushing ability.)
Wilder? - SLB (FAST, might be the fastest of any I have listed here and plays violent similar to McCloud. My concern is adding more weight and how much speed would be effected by it but he's got the ability. Great pass rushing ability too off the edge.)
