Watching draft? Where is First Round Management?

Stings a bit, huh?

Pete looks like such a goof. Not sure how any NFL team will take him seriously. I'd tell to get the **** out of my office if he started barking demands for his players.

y'all need to stop hating. This is a day we should be celebrating a 'Cane doing legit big things. Pete reps this school every day of his life and just had a huge moment in his career...historic really.

Give our dude props. None of y'all would clown the man in person...you'd give this dude daps for this. Hope after Pete buys himself a nice Rolex with that first fat check, he drops a bag on some of these Dade Co five stars...a few more first rounders, and he could be parking some cars at the church for some future Canes to seal the deal after signing day.

Chess, not checkers.

Just goes to show if you aim high, anyone, literally anyone, can do big things.

/Totally kidding. Very cool. Congrats Pete! That is awesome man.

You can't prove whether him and his associates got anyone drafted lower. That's your opinion.

Also, those recruits (unless you know them personally), who knows what was in their minds or why they made the decisions they made.

Of course agents are dependent on the athletes. The two of them work hand in hand for hopefully the betterment of both parties. So let's not be silly. Top agents get the best prospects, you have to start somewhere.

Austin P is trying much the same. Who has he gotten drafted? No disrespect to him, but why does he get a pass? I respect both for doing what they are trying and wish them success. They're starting at the bottom, trying to work their way up, and if they get the right guys down the road, great! M

It's because of the assumption, or rather, impression, that Pete took actions and made (false) statements that were manifestly against the best interests of the UM players he was soliciting to represent. To anyone's knowledge, Austin P has not engaged in that same conduct.

You don’t understand. People hate because of the way he conducted himself here. Yes there are some people who blamed him for Norton and Mac but I think it worked out pretty good with what Willis did this year.

It is what it is, Pete has his fan boys and his haters. Just wish we didn’t always have to chatter about him, especially since he’s moved on presumably to bigger and brighter lights. Good for him, at the end of his life his Maker will decide his fate.

And here's his fate ….

Why can't he be a clown and we dap him up when appropriate? People can be more than one thing. Dude never really did anything wrong to deserve full on cancellation or scorn whenever his name pops up.

I'll clown on his horrendous takes from back in the day when appropriate...but today...not appropriate, idk.

Alright well you obviously aren’t hearing me so be it. Continue on.

Maybe I'll let Pete off my pepperoni if someone explains to me what an agent does.

Explain why that job isn't a cash grab by simply copy-pasting a template from a different year? Do they have to have an eye, to bid for representation rights, and then essentially gamble on that? WTF does an agent do?
If it’s so easy, you should become an agent bro!

Pete's job actually starts now with contract negotiations. Blow this deal and it's back to being 7th Round Management

Theres not much to negotiate....money and years are already set for each pick. There will be little things that need to be decided. Its the second contract where agents earn their money
