We haven’t been Quarterback U since the Eighties,truth be told.

We need a national search for talent. Kaaya was close, but didn’t have the Killer Instinct.

A great QB will compensate for not being able to get rushing yardage, as you saw tonight. Diaz has to know that nobody in his QB room comes close to thisClemson kid.

I’m okay with Manny hiring a guy like that on defense. Because the defense will run Manny’s system.

But on offense, Diaz just fired guys he worked with longer than Applewhite, so it was stupid of him saying Manny is “hiring friends”

4 offensive touchdowns

Vs fsu
The offense had 5 touchdowns as well

And for the record houston outgained each of those team in the games too. And who is misrepresenting anything? They scored at the end of the day and put points and yards on the board period. That’s what we are trying to do right?

Who knows? What I do know is trashing a OC potential hire before he's even hired is just stupid.

I will say we are more than 1 OC and 1 QB from competing with these teams. Manny got his work cut out for him.

2 total TD's against OK -- you're right. But again, watch the games and it's a diff story. FSU had 5 TO's and got crushed in TOP. Houston defense was elite that day and FSU could not stay on the field. Also 2 Houston TD's were aided by gift penalties.

He’s never had a great QB. If he gets one and then he repeats the same stuff he’s done then absolutely not.

Applewhite may have ability to upgrade our schemes on offense. Problem is we do not have the players to become a dynamic offense. Why would dynamic 5 star high school players want to play for us instead of Clemson, Bama, Ohio State, Oklahoma Georgia, Auburn, Michigan and up and coming Texas, Texas A&M and Florida. Don’t tell me those teams can’t get everyone. Well reality says they and some other teams do get most of elite recruits. How many 5 star players has the U landed in last 10 years? We just finished 41st in last recruiting battle. Above teams all in top 15 recruiting wars and a few in top 5.

Applewhite has at least done it with lower level talent.

The OL and skill players for Clemson are way better than us. Not to mention the QB play. After watching the game tonight, Im not convinced their OC could replicate that with lower level talent

Richt was basically told to fire them as well. The whole Manny and "friends" thing is pure b.s. on both sides,....we cant judge ish like that till much later when decisions need to be made that are 100% his.

Lol nope won't happen with either Applehwite O or Diaz D. The culture just isn't in Miami right now. We also can't pay our coaches 2mil for DC and 850 each for co-oc's lol gotta pay to play man
