Its hard to win a Natty. Simply cannot let one slip away. Miami needed to make one more play and we have #6

Not only can't I watch the Indiana game again I've never been able to rewatch 02 OSU loss.

For me 02 loss is its own category. To this day I’ve never watched a highlight. That team was the best team in college football the entire season. Meh.

I’ve watched many clips of the Indiana game. I’m good. Yeah it sucks because we were so close, but if you can’t take some pride and joy for how far the team got, the moments, and the run they went on, you’re missing it. Team was left for dead after the SMU game. No one thought we’d make any sort of a run, most of all Canes fans. We’ve waited decades for this team to get back to elite. Now we are. Enjoy it.

I’ll take the pain of losing a championship game over hoping we don’t end up in Shreveport for a bowl game any day of the week.

Beck made up for some bad decisions during that long stretch of wins and showed the heart of a champion throughout the playoffs.. especially against Ole Miss and also against Indiana until that last drive. So it’s hard to say this but that last throw wasn’t the 1st time he’s made what comes off like a selfish type of decision that cost us the game. There is no reason to make that throw at that moment not even a bad one. I think Mali was open in the middle of the field, he had good protection, and we had plenty of time to go down the field.

Everyone of our losses ended the exact same way. With a questionable Beck INT that would later be blamed on a "miscommunication". Indiana ran a much cleaner operation and they didn't make stupid mistakes or have "miscommunications". That is why they are National Champions. On the 4th and 5 where Mendoza ran it in for a TD, both Bain and Mesidor said after the game that we knew it would be a QB draw. When the reporter asked them why they didn't stop it, Bain and Mesidor both said there was a miscommunication in the defense. I believe the call never made it to Mo Toure who was completely out of position to stop a QB draw as he was aligned as a safety trying to defend a pass. Again, little mistakes are costly in Championship games.

With all that, we still had an opportunity to steal that game if Beck doesn't attempt that low percentage pass into double coverage from the Indiana 41 with 52 seconds left on 1st and 10. That's all history now. Time to move forward and make 2026 about winning #6.

I promise this isn’t beck hate but i think marion said that to cover for beck. Idk what the miscommunication can be on that play

Literally at the snap of the ball their safety runs over to that side, Beck doesn’t sell it he looks right over there and under throws it. If he had more arm and anticipation he could have got it thru but it was just a bad decision he made

Exactly. Calling Beck out for what was a horrific decision is not hate, it's honesty. I genuinely appreciate Carson Beck and everything he contributed to our beloved program. However he made a catastrophically bad decision at literally the worst possible moment when he let loose that noodle armed duck that was picked off. I don't care how many of his teammates, coaches or YouTube analysts cover for him. He had absolutely no business making that throw in that situation and he darn well knows it no matter what he says to the contrary. I like the kid. I really do and it hurt me because in addition to wanting that title so badly for myself and Cane Nation, I wanted it even more for Mario Cristobal and the coaches and then I wanted it even more than that for the players who are too many to list here but included in that list would definitely be Carson Beck as I really wanted for him to go out on top with a National Championship to prove his detractors wrong and for him to be able to say F**k You to UGA. Of course I wanted it for Bain, Mesidor, Fletcher, Mauigoa, Scott, Toney and Thomas and everyone else but yeah I wanted to see Beck redeem himself in front of the entire nation but he made a decision that allowed his detractors to say "See..I told you so!" and that on top of not winning #6 at home really sucks.

No doubt! That game winning drive vs Ole Miss he was straight dealing! Those 4th quarter drives vs Indiana were fantastic. One play in particular by Beck vs Indiana was legendary. Beck is back to pass on 3rd and long and the pocket collapses. Beck then channels his inner Patrick Mahomes and zig zags around the pocket eluding pressure back and forth and left to right until he spots CJ Daniels who had lost his man and Beck fires a bullet right into Daniels hands for a 1st down.

I still watch the condensed version multiple times per week. Keeps me motivated. It's like edging before we get number 6 and gonna make it that much better.

Haven't watched and never will. Beck absolutely deserves the blame for that last throw, but our D also deserves fault, we needed some key stops and we didn't get them.

With all three losses ending with interceptions on the final drive, it always leaks out that it was communication issues when a reality when a pressure is high Beck just makes poor decisions just like you did at UGA

I’m one of the biggest Dawson critics on this site, but it wasn’t communication. It wasn’t play calling. It was just ****** **** poor decision-making from a quarterback that throws picks in high stressed situations.

Bad play calling on Dawson's part. We needed to dink and dunk down the field to leave almost zero seconds on the clock. Dawson had Beck try and do a Tua Play and it backfired. I don't blame Beck for the last drive fiasco; I blame Dawson.

Even if we had scored, there would have been enough time left for Mendoza to get that FG kicker of theirs into position to score the game winner. Just a horrible drive in a situation in which we needed to score and eat up clock.

Well there were multiple options on that play. Carson took the deep shot. He could have gone underneath or with the check down.

Not a bad call as Toney and Daniels were open. I guess you could say Dawson should have never given Beck the option of the deep shot because of the chances Beck would make a terrible decision, but at some point you can’t treat the qb like he’s a toddler.

Lol you blame the OC when it was a 6th year senior that under throws a pass right to the DB?

Stop it. Even if he makes a bad play call it’s on the veteran qb to live to fight another down. It’s not like it was fourth down with 5 seconds left.

Disappointed because we really could’ve stolen a championship given how poor the offense performed in the first half.

Everyone forgets that last drive never happens if the Indiana olineman doesn’t false start.
