Not impressed at all. Not that I was going to be to begin with, but a couple takeaways:

If we knock Felipe ***** as$ out the game (or even merely rattle him) his backups are NOT it.

I’m unsure who 11 is, but he’s trash.

There’s a pretty noticeable trend of none of these QBs going through progressions to include Felipe.

Emory Jones is the Black Tate Martell. Do with that what you will, it’s my opinion.

Bottom line is as long as we consistently rotate talent and keep pressure from the D Line, (and the refs ACTUALLY call holding when it happens) we steam roll these bums.

WR 4 is a great value Jeff Thomas (that’s not a compliment)

Grimes is their best WR.

The TEs are going to get targets.

Their D Line isn’t as impressive as I thought they would be.

They struggle with tackling on defense.

Granted this is a spring game and extremely vanilla, but when I heard the announcer state “Felipe Franks tied a spring game passing record” I figured if they take that **** seriously they must have something here that translates to 8.24

Its a rivalry game and you can rest assure both sides will be ready to play. Just like lasts year FSU game everyone thought we would beat the brakes off of them, but they came in ready to play and next thing we know we're down 27-7 in the 3rd

I tend to agree I think there team has a lot of flaws. 2 things I'm concerned with us is our QB and O-line play

Our LB depth and ST are concerning. We’re still relying on unproven Qbs. It won’t be an easy game at all

Everyone does seem to focus on Offense and Defense but football is composed of three phases and our Special teams have me very concerned too compared to their returning players.

Hopefully we can improve enough so that it does not hinder us come August.

Sounds like Miami wins by 4 touchdowns. Chris Doering was the second leading receiver and DC was laughing on the sideline while secondary
giving up plays left and right, don't think for a minute that's what they'll be looking like in August

UF lost lots of key players. 4 starting o lineman, scarlett, polite, joseph, and gardner is a lot to handle especially with an average qb in franks. But mullen is good at making a qb's weakness and the rivalry factor will make it a dog fight. We play a clean game (special teams I'm talking to you) and not only can we win but win comfortably.

Mullen will have a legit game plan ready, with plenty of gadget and gimmick plays.

We just need to pressure them and look to knock Franks out the game. Not that he's a game changer or anything, just that it'll snatch their souls.

On Defense, we should honestly be able to do whatever we want. Their much ballyhooed secondary really ain't that good when they aren't getting INT's airmailed to them. They're afraid to tackle and I'm not sure any of them can hang with JT or KJ. I don't see them having any kind of answer for Brevin or Mallory either. If we get Cam/ Deejay/ Lo in the open field on some screens or wheel routes, forget it.

The key will be to punch them in the mouth early. They'll fold.

I appreciate your slanted Miami homer view here, but allow me to play devil's advocate for a moment.

We've had a lot of personnel turnover ourselves.

How do you know they are or are not going through their progressions? How do you know what their progressions are?

True. But the majority of those players weren't game changers. The top 5: willis, jaquon, redwine, and the jacksons were big losses but we had a defensively heavy 2019 class which should mitigate that somewhat plus all the portal guys. What hurts the most from that list you posted is the depth at linebacker we've lost. Personally at least, I'm not sweating losing cager, langham, or any of the departing o lineman.

If you're expecting freshman and transfers to come in and play at the same level as those five, I dont know what to tell you.

Besides Gardener and Polite, UF didnt lose many game-changers either.
