Watched a highlight of the bowl game against Washington St

Few things stood out....

Good
- Joseph Yearby and Mark Walton are beast and elite.
- Mike Smith needs to get reps as a rush end or hybrid rush LB on passing downs.
- Stacy Coley is a beast / big catches in traffic
- David Njoku and Chris Herndon are beast
- Braxton Berrios is a beast
- Brad Kaaya can make some accurate throws under pressure

* Now the one knock i have is on Brad Kaaya / His Arm Strength....

- watching the washing state highlights it looks like Brad Kaaya has a very weak arm, ive said before that his arm looks weaker than Jacory Harris's and that highlight backs that up.

All of the catches in traffic were bc the ball was floating in the air and dropping out of the sky like a rock, i think that could potentially be a setback, thoughts?

The mods seriously need to ban anybody who posts "highlights" of Canes games played between 2006 and 2015. Ever since Coker fired the entire staff after the Peach Bowl there have been no highlights. Actually any "highlights" of games played between 11/15/2005 and the present should not be posted.

For in case you're not aware that's the day when Chan Gailey and Patrick Nix sent Miami on a tailspin the Canes have yet to recover from.

Brad does under throw the deep ball at times.....he's needed some depth perception to improve the timing. We all (well most of us) knew the dude could chuck the ball from Parano's HS clips

That's weak sauce, honestly. Some great players came through The U during that time period. Do you need a safe space from Sean Spence and Duke Johnson highlights?

May be exaggerating a bit. But I will say I don't want to see highlights of games we lost.

There's no way in **** anyone that has seen Kaaya and Harris live would say Jacory has a stronger arm. You know nothing about QB play if you actually believe Harris was a better deep ball throwing QB. Harris couldn't throw the deep ball to save his life. His deep ball was a duck that went 40 yards at best. Jacory's arm made Dorsey look like Joe Flacco. Come on people.

This dude hates Kaaya because he's from California. He only likes dude from Florida, even if they suck.

Lol i dont hate Kaaya for any reason i just think his arm strength is a liability / DJ Williams and Kellen Winslow jr from Cali and theyre two of some of my favorite Canes in the early 2000s.

And im not even from Florida lol so that bs doesnt apply to me

Harris threw the deep ball better than Kaaya / Dorsey threw the deep ball better than Kaaya / its really that simple.

Kaaya hasnt made a throw yet that can be compared to the throw Jacory made to Travis Benjamin against FSU...

Watching play @ 1:30 mark.

Yup, weak arm. LOL

Its pretty obvious though / Miami probably could've scored on a couple of those passes if the ball could've traveled a little bit further so the receiver wouldn't have to completely stop to catch the ball.

Exactly, Jacory was the better deep ball thrower. Kaaya routinely under throws the WR.

Holy ****, am I the only one who has a god damned memory? The only upside to Jacory was that half of his INTs were 40 yards downfield. Better long ball my ***.

Kryptonite u may want to actually go back and look at Jacory Harri's highlights at Miami....

He clearly had a better long ball than Kaaya / Jacory had more velocity and better touch / Kaaya seems to always hold back like he's too scared to over throw it, so the ball always drops like a rock / Jacory had better touch from longer distance.

I don't have to go back, I lived through every single one of them. Do you somehow not remember his late floaters? Corner and safety fighting over the pick? Every time the DB didn't fall down, jacory's weak *** **** got picked. Look, kid's a cane and he had his moments, but arm strength was not one of his, um, strengths. Also, seems that all of the NFL disagrees with you. But whatever.

I knew that would be the one play you would hang on forever in your Jacory slurping lonely world of Warcraft. Watch the replay and see how far that ball goes. He has to run up in the pocket to throw the ball as hard as he can 40 yards in the air. Here's proof https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LXxJ3xoW9Bk
Here's Kaaya throwing a dart 40 yards for a TD against FSU to Dorsett. i just did myself a favor and ignored your future posts. They insult the entire boards intelligence. You've obviously never seen a live game that either player has participated. I was at both of these games. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mbv4qk6kfSQ

Harris was a 7 v 7 All American. The kid could light it up when he was confident. But he clearly never lifted lifted a weight at the U and there clearly was no training table at the U. And once he Started getting hit in the back it was over for Harris mentally. But the kid could hit the long ball.

Kaaya was on the radar in the very first scrimmage we all got to see. He hit a 20 yard out on the opposite side of the field on a rope. The kid has the goods. But like with ALL QB's it is about footwork. If the kid Is getting hit or sees pressure up the middle the feet go and so does the arm strength.

I don't think it matters to compare Harris and Kaaya. Kyle Wright had a live arm when he first got here. Remember his first FSU game. We all thought we chad a Future NFL. QB. But then the. Hits kept on coming and the coaching and training foundation was not there. Kaaya has a foundation now that not even Dorsey had. If we can keep the the kid upright and clean we will see the production needed.
