The Miami Hurricanes cruised their way to 2-0 after defeating the FAMU Rattlers 77-7 inside Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday night.
The Canes went for a school-record 856 yards of total offense, while tying their program record for most points in a game at 77. Quarterback Darian Mensah had a field day, completing 14 of his 15 passing attempts, throwing for 252 yards and three scores. Malachi Toney caught the ball four times for 96 yards and one score. On the ground, Mark Fletcher had a big bounce back game, recording 142 rushing yards on 10 carries and two scores.
