Watch Blake

Close friend of mine, his father is a very influential Cane supporter, Blake is in his sights. You know, our AD.

That's the message that must be sent. Whether Diaz stays or goes, James and his lady assistant cannot be given another hiring opportunity. As I said in another thread- the issue is not the poor choice of a coach. It happens. The issue is that he deliberately chose not to interview any other candidates. He got strong armed by Diaz (oh right- Diaz said he couldn't wait, he would have had to stay with Temple) then paid Temple AND Diaz. As they say- play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Saywhaaaat? In just a handful of years he got their blue chip ratio from being in the 30s to 54%. The man can recruit. What's the issue?
He's not a fit for Miami fan base imo. He's very boring, no flash... he's very comfortable beating the likes of Duke 24-17 and taking a knee on the 1 yard line. He's been called "annoyingly classy" and it really does fit him. Dont get me wrong, he's a top coach imo, top. I just dont think Miami fans would like him after a while, especially if the 1st couple of years are rocky. I cant see SoFL kids getting sold by him.

Just to follow up, my pick would be Mike Gundy. He's got that Ole Ball Coach type of feel to him. He doesnt mind running it up, he's also a winner, his O system is a proven fact, and I think his personality would really sell SoFL kids.

Then let's just burn it down. Bring me a super coaching triumvirate of Leach, Kiffin, and Bobby Petrino.

Step 1: Fire Blake James tomorrow morning over coffee. Make him pay for the coffee.

Step 2:
If Manny beats Duke next Saturday, fire him Sunday morning over coffee. Make him pay for the coffee.
If Manny loses to Duke next Saturday, fire him upon arrival at the airport. Make him pay for his Uber back to Coral Gables.

Watch Blake what?

Tomorrow morning he'll do the same thing he always does when he wakes up: pull a butt plug out of his ***, ask his wife for permission to go and pee, eat a small cup of sugar free Chobani with his pinky extended, and then he'll go back to his job of ruining UM athletics and embarrassing the university.
