Wasted Opportunity for N. Perry

Made no sense why they didn't run the actual offense with him. He is one play away from getting in, he needs all the game reps he can get.

I think CMR was being a gentleman and not appearing to try to run up the score on Toledo.

However, Perry should have come a bit earlier, forgetting any quarterback debate, Perry SHOULD be getting ready/improving in case of an injury, specially with the way Rosier runs and dives.
As I watched Perry hand off repeatedly one series and then take a knee in the other, I remembered how Toledo kicked a field goal late last week against VMI when they were up by a ton.

I know that doesn’t necessarily mean we should do it, but it wouldn’t have hurt my feelings and, more importantly, we needed the work. Anyway, we all know Richt is too nice for that.

I would've had him start the second half, but that wasn't in the gameplan.

id rather not risk any further injuries at that point. there was a few min left and game was over. we cant afford to lose more guys. it wouldve been nice if the D didnt take a **** in the third as perry prolly wouldve been in for most of the second half esp since the offense was scoring

It’s not running up the score if it’s all back ups that are playing. All he did was practice hand offs and the victory formation. I also don’t know why he wasted the time at the end of the half.

Kosi, Weldon & Jarren will play next week vs FIU.

And with how bad UNC is we should at least see Kosi in the 2nd half vs them & maybe even FSU if we blow them out like we should.

I said this after the Savannah St game, we're not going to see a new starter any time soon until Rosier just has an awful game again & even then we still might not.

What I hope is happening is that Kosi & Weldon are getting legitimate 1st team reps in practice for FIU, UNC etc, so that in the event of injury either one of them can come in & play.

And I hate to break to some of yall, but Jarren will not start one game this year, he'll play sparingly due to the new 4 game rule for True Frosh, but he's Redshirting this year.

We do need to bring Perry along slowly & get him some more real in game reps, because if he has to come in on the road vs tough Defenses @ BC or @ Blacksburg he needs to not feel overwhelmed by the moment. IF he has to play in either of those games we'll probably be down a few scores, he needs to know how to operate the Offense & remain poised while trying to bring us back in a hostile environment with loud crowds. But that's only if Rosier is absolutely terrible.

Otherwise, he may only play a lot, vs FIU, UNC & @ Virginia in the 2nd half, maybe vs Duke if we get an early lead.

I blame it all on Mark Richt. And he will scramble at the last minute to find a QB in the 2019 class.

Not a waste. every Chance he gets to get into the game and practice getting the call from the sideline and giving it in the huddle is good practice. Just to get acustom to it. As long as we handle business we will get more reps for him.

The instant the Toledo defender went balls deep on Rosier's face mask when the game was essentially over Richt should have twisted the knife and ran up the score to make a point.

Regardless, Perry should be getting some reps where he's passing under fire in a live game. Maybe not throwing 50 yard bombs, but quick slants and short passes to work on timing and his comfort. Who knows - maybe he can be good? At very least he's ready for whenever Rosier starts blaming his **** completion percentage on this year's future injuries.
