Wasn’t pretty

reminded me of the 2005 VT game

similar score (27-7 in that one) and our defense absolutely dominated. offense left stuff on the table but who cares

we pushed them around and went right down their throats. we left zero doubt

But when was the last time we held fast against a momentum change and physically imposed our will against a good defensive team like that?
That line of scrimmage on both sides is just devastating for us. Once we started running the ball down their throat again, I knew there was nothing they were gonna be able to do to stop us.. and then, of course the defense closed it out for us again.

Defense, lights out apart from a couple 2H drives. Fundamentally sound, very few penalties (if any?), solid tackling for a majority of the game.

Offense…mediocre, and that’s being kind. Our WRs struggle to get consistent separation, our interior run blocking is very streaky, and Dawson clearly didn’t trust Beck to push it downfield late.

Lot of work to do before a war against FSU.
Guys were actually open, Beck just didn’t have a good game and he’ll be the first to admit it. He wasn’t hitting open guys today.

Anybody else bothered Mario didn't try to get points right before the 2nd half? I wish he would show more of a killer instinct, but after so much time here, I shouldn't expect a leopard to change his spots.
Yes but it was still pouring?, didnt want to risk a TO and flip momentum, had ball coming out of half. i dont like it but i get it, its mario ball

No im not bothered because with the way the passing game was going tonight I dont think it was a good idea to go into a 2 minute drill and have a possible turnover.

Sometimes it is smart to go conservative.

Our defense was outstanding-We have the best edge rushers in the nation with Bain and Mesidor-

OL is the best in the nation-

Beck needs to be better-

Good to see Lofton involved-We need to get him more touches he’s too talented-

Hopefully this was our center’s worst game-

It's weird and I think this goes for every fan base that if you win a shootout (last year's Louisville game for example) everybody feels great but if you win a defensive slugfest it's a mope fest.
Probably true lol. I much rather have an insane defense with an offense that sticks every once in awhile than reverse.

Ppl act like prime Saban Bama didn't have absolute stinkers on offense

It was literally raining the whole game ….Beck gotta tighten up but Florida defense is legit even with players missing ….every game is not going to be pretty ..Our defense is legit Bain being 100 percent healthy is paying off …I would like to see Jojo back because I know he can get open hopefully he’s back after the bye week we need him
