Seriously, how can Mario justify continuing to play TVD, while we’ve seen RBs and other make one mistake, and not be seen for the rest of the game?

You really don't see the difference between a starting quarterback / back-up quarterbacks—and running back by committee when you have four capable starters?

Look at the Clemson game. The playbook was completely dumbed down for Emory Williams, while Jacurri Brown is literally still more of a passing liability than damaged Tyler Van Dyke right now.

Coaches are sticking with a third-year starter with the hopes that he can shake off his slump as the true freshman nor the inexperienced sophomore is ready to roll into Tallahassee for a brutal road game.

Fans don't have to like or agree with it, but any conspiracy theory surrounding the type of vanilla coaching decision most in the business would make at this time—sticking with a damaged starter with the belief back-ups aren't ready for a massive road game—is hardly Zapruder-worthy.

I'd assume those same boosters hate losing, so at this low point, I can't see them really wanting TVD back there anymore....

If you can beat Clemson down 10pts in the 4th, then he could've beaten NCST and Boston College. FSU and Louisville might be too much to ask, but to not give him a chance and leave everything the same doesn't sit right to me. Ask his teammates and 90% will tell you let's roll with EW....

Lets game this out because that really doesnt make sense to me. Here are the facts: TVD has looked like dog**** the last 4 games he has played in. He has 11 TOs with 10 being INTs and a record of 1-3 during that stretch. He is a lame duck of a player right now. There is nothing that suggests that he gives us any chance to win moving forward. Now if you want argue that he gives us a better chance than Emory, fine, but that isnt a ringing endorsement of the kid.

There is no upside to starting TVD moving forward, none. There is upside to starting Emory though. The only reason not to start Emory is because the staff MAY not have the confidence we have been told they have in him. Certainly would not be the first time they were selling BS about current players on the team. As long as Emory flashes, it would be a net positive for the team. Growing pains are to be expected with a true freshman, but lets not pretend its some insurmountable feat to play well at QB your freshman year. We have had it happen here twice in the dark ages with Jacory and Kaaya.

Bottom line, Mario missed a great opportunity to put Emory in against UVa at home... at least in the second half.
