First three drives Clemson had tore right through our defense.

Yes Rosier stinks and isnt a P5 QB.

But the game was OVER after the first quarter bc our overhyped defense couldnt stop a **** thing.

Feasting off turnovers of bad teams doesnt make a defense great. Stopping great offenses does. We are so far from great on that side of the ball AS WELL. Its not just on Richt and Rosier.

Clemson put up what, a combined 75 pts on Bama in the last two title games, is Bama's D overhyped? In order to be a contender, you have to have any unit capable of stepping up at any given time, and this offense wasn't capable of doing so. Not putting it all on Rosier, as it is much more difficult when missing your #1 RB, WR, and TE, and we do not have the depth yet to overcome such losses. But still.

2. Diaz got worked for parts of this game. He also rebounded and controlled most of the middle, and it only really got out of hand when the O decided the Turnover Chain would look great in Clemson Orange. The offense didn't have a single good drive the entire game. THE ENTIRE GAME. Not when they had guys wide open, not when they were gifted a possession inside the 30, not when Clemson pulled their starters. There wasn't a single possession where they succeeded on the field. THAT is the definition of losing the game.

Right after we had given up a billion yards and points. Was an atrocious gameplan from a coach who has made most QBs look invincible.

This has been the story all year. I don't know why but we are an awful zone defense. I cringe when it's third and medium or long and we drop into zone. Our best d is when we play man and spy the qb. But you can't just play one d all the time. Our zone d needs to get cleaned up for next year.
