Warren Sapp

If y'all want honesty I'll give it to y'all. In my humble opinion it's a convergence of numerous factors. #1 warren has always been a Prick & a narcissist. #2 ONE of the worst things to happen to warren was him becoming close with Luther. At times he's like a puppet to him and his causes. #3 Right up there with Luther, was when warren went broke and lost any relevance he let Deion & his chase of national media into his life. No press is bad press. Now you tie those factors into one messy ball and you see, it's not cte, it's what warren has decided gives him purpose. Reality is this isn't a first time thing. He goes down to city halls and police stations on a regular for one cause or another. He's done this since he retired. It's led to his arrest at least twice that I can think of.
1st amendment auditors....

I've watched plenty of videos like them. Absolutely everyone that does that is annoying and just creating a headache. And ultimately the more views they create the better for themselves. So they're not exactly incentivized to be chill. And often they are wrong about certain things.

HOWEVER they absolutely do show how easy it is for police/gov to be overstepping their power and constantly breaking the law in even small manners. You go to a government building and record? They lie about it being illegal and then threaten to arrest you and escalate and just simply overstep their authority. Really those people do it to bring lawsuits and then get settlements (tens of thousands, not too crazy) and YouTube views...

But gotta say if you watch enough of those videos man do you really understand how much cops lie and just make **** up and try to charge you with literally anything possible for simply exerting your rights. Quite literally it's a **** measuring contest (probably why Sapp like doing it!) but as far as I'm concerned it's a net positive. Hopefully these cops learn things about not trying to stop people recording them on duty....

Was all the way with until you brought up Sapp being Black and him using as that as an excuse to be racist. Did he state that or is that just a narrative you created in your head?

I think you should look up the definition of the word racist, then you would understand in this context you used it incorrectly. Since you brought up Sapp using his Blackness as an excuse to be racist understand that Warren Sapp holds no systemic authority over any Asian person to stop them from doing a **** thing.

Your last sentence is not consistent with what being a racist is regardless of what systemic standing they have in the country they live in.
If my Cuban aunt in Mississippi says something ignorant about Haitians, Mexicans, Pakistanis, etc....then she is being a racist and, no, she holds zero "systemic authority" over no one.

But does Abuela make a mean Ropa Vieja?

Gatekeeping the word racist is funny. I swear absolutely nobody but black people do that about that word and make it entirely about oppressor vs oppressed or whatever. Which is why you get the whole black people can't be racist stupidity.

Everyone else understands it's when youre bigoted against a person simply due to their race/skin color. That simple. However what people do do far too often is call everyone racist that aren't actually. It lumps too many people into that grouping and it loses its meaning/criticism. Also a comment you make can be racist but you may not be a racist person ... Theres a pretty big difference

I think so, based on this definition.

I think the appropriate definition is “Warren-ing”, he’s stirring **** to get a reaction, to which if he got one for the comment, he’d play the “Who me? Give me a break, I’m a black dude in America, etc. How dare you!” game… to get another reaction

This entire thing can be summed up like this:

Warren vs Hollywood Police in a game of “Who can be the biggest *******.” Who won? Who cares. Both sides are wrong, regardless of racism/prejudice, not that I’m diminishing those things. Rather than looking for solutions and compromise, both sides looked to throw moist turds at each other. Both sides come off looking worse.

Read the article and he asked the officer what country he was born in. That is racist and a stupid thing to say to a police officer. Or you can use the word prejudiced instead of racist as I know racism also connotes a distinction in authority. So maybe I used the wrong word, but I found it to be ignorant/prejudiced for Sapp to ask that question of the officer.

I agree with the rest of your post and the damage that has been done to the Voting Rights Act.
The person originally responded to only quoted Sapp as asking "Were you born here?" What Sapp said was much worse actually.

I am all the way with you except for the last part. Nobody in America is limited when in comes to voting.
I have actually been to Alabama and Tennessee to learn from the people who walked in the Civil Rights movement. They are just as educated as me or you and even more so on the subject of voting and voting repression. The elders disagree with you.

Thank you for revealing your true feelings about Black People. I think your thinking is very much in line with the poster I responded to. So it "Racist" to describe a behavior as negative and then say "only Black people do it?

Also what Race are you may I ask?

Exactly my point lmao. "..My true feelings about black people" lmao.

Oh Is me being a Certain race gunna change how your respond to me? Lol. I'm not white.

And Yes, I've LITERALLY only seen/heard black people do that I cant be racist bit. Its absurd. IDGAF what semantics you want to try to pull, everyone on earth knows what the **** people mean when they say racist.

I guess it depends on one's perspective.
For example, If I tend to distrust an ethnic or religious group when doing business because, in my opinion, they are distrustful, money-grubbing people who act in bad-faith, you can infer they believe they are referring to people of "inferior" stock. They would probably not want to associate with them socially nor want to live in same neighborhood with their kids dating, marrying or even being in same school with them. I would say this person has a sense of racial, religious or ethnic superiority and they are being racist, imo.
Got it. If I'm following correctly I would say in that case no you are not racist for not wanting to associate with that group. I would not want to associate with a group that established it's whole state based on ethno/religious supremacy either.

You and I having an opinion of that group based and its members past behavior is not racist. That group is very well off financially and you and I having an opinion about them even if ignorant or untrue doesn't really alter that groups reality or proximity to power which are two things that are supposed to be the Hallmark of racism.

I knew you were not white based off of your post lol. So by your definition you're are officially racist against Black people. Which I figured you have a problem with us lol. Good day

Lmao

Black people can't be racist and if you think we can it's cause you're racist.

What a strategy

I think the Supreme Court would like to have a word. They literally just voted to take the vote away from POC, by removing the VRA of 1965. Yall can put lipstick on a pig,,.. but it’s still Jim Crow.
